Fox News Sundays Chris Wallace submitted newly-minted 2016 GOP frontrunner Scott Walker to thirteen minutes of sustained questioning about his record and his (mis)statements Sunday morning, the most notable moment of which came when Walker conceded after several minutes of interrogation that hed changed his views on immigration.

Since you are from WI, we’ll take your opinion with a grain of salt. Extremely partisan. Walker is GOPe.
Where have you been? We’ve already lost our country. Walker is the best we have right now - but, apparently, not good enough for the purists on here - which means we’ll probably end up with another 8 years of obama 2.0. Some of you on here get on my last nerve.
The GOPe are not winners.
I guess that leaves Walker out then since he has won 3 elections in 4 years. He IS a winner.
He wasn’t Guv when he made the statement in question, he was a Milwaukee County exec.
This is very telling.
It reinforces my view of why there is a push for this ‘immigration’ crap; it’s like a virus (though more akin to a toxic vaccine).
I really should have written that book...

Relax, it’s going to Jeb vs Hillary anyway
Can’t wait for the fun then, it’ll be interesting who the purists are then.
From The Hill, July 2013:
Gov. Walker backs citizenship pathway for illegal immigrants
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) says he supports a pathway to citizenship for immigrants living in the country illegally as part of an overhaul of the nations immigration system.
If people want to come here and work hard and benefit, I dont care whether they come from Mexico or Ireland or Germany or Canada or South Africa or anywhere else, Walker said Tuesday during an interview with the Daily Herald Media Editorial Board of Wisconsin. I want them here.
Walker was then asked about the estimated 11 million immigrants living in the country illegally. The editorial board asked if he could envision a world where with the right penalties and waiting periods and meet the requirements where those people could get citizenship?
Sure, Walker responded. I mean I think it makes sense.
Walkers comments came roughly a week after the Democratic-controlled Senate passed a bipartisan immigration reform proposal that includes a pathway to citizenship.
What should bother people about this is that Walker was CLEARLY ON THE SIDE OF AMNESTY a decade ago, even though conservatives were SCREAMING MAD against it.
Walker may not have researched the issue much, considering his position then, but HE CHOSE TO PICK A SIDE - and that side was NOT the side of conservatives. No different than President Bush, back then.
I prefer a candidate that WILL SIDE WITH CONSERVATIVES when not fully up to speed on an issue.
Loser. GOPe.
I do like what Walker has done in Wisconsin, and against all opposition time and again, but what I've understood are/were his positions on Common Core-ruption and illegal immigration have kept me from becoming a Walker for President supporter.
Non-communist/socialist/marxist/progressive American voters have had a rough time since Reagan left.
Walker now supports immigration?
Walker does not appear to be a zealot on Common Cause and amnesty, could be convinced to take the right position. This is unlike Bush who is fanatical about amnesty and made it clear he will not change his position.
Fwiw, there's no way I'd vote for Jeb Bush or Chris Christie and it wouldn't matter what they're running for or who or what they're running against.
I do respect and like Walker's background and success so far, but I'm too jaded by past experience to care about compromise that much any more.
The most recent election and all that's happened since has been an eye opener.
He simply did not want to be put on the spot, trying to prove a negative. I wonder if Rand Paul will be subjected to th same type of questioning about his position on immigration and open borders. Rand Paul is a Third Wayer.
I’m in WI and Walker has even outdone Tommy Thompson. He is quite possibly, the greatest Governor WI has ever had.
Walker says he has changed his position, since then.
I watched him today, say so.
So what? It’s what democrats call ‘evolving’... Our guys can ‘grow and evolve’ too. In a year even Jeb will ‘evolve’ or realize he’s in the wrong party and needs to become a democrat.
