NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland Republican voters rejected former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in the straw poll, as he earned only 8 percent of the vote and came in fifth.
That came as, according to reports and several other campaigns, Bush attempted to rig the straw poll by busing in supporters from Washington, D.C., and K Street. So, after subtracting out those his campaign packed into the Gaylord hotel in National Harbor, his support among conservatives is even more smaller than it appears.
Bush faced a round of ridicule from pretty much everyone across the Republican Party, ranging from MSNBC host Joe Scarborough to Sen. Jeff Sessions.
Scarborough told Breitbart News in an interview at CPAC that the GOP nominee in 2016 needs to be a conservative and be able to turn out the conservative basesomething that Bush is clearly having issues with. He adds if that doesnt happen, then the party will lose in the general election.
Sen. Sessions, who at a Breitbart News meet-and-greet rebutted Bushs support for amnesty right after Bushs appearance on stage, said that even with all the money Bush is raising he needs to be able to win votessomething Bush showed at CPAC hes currently unable to do among the Conservative base.
Ill tell you one thing: Its the people of this country that run this country, Sessions said. Contributions and supporters are always important in presidential elections and other elections too, but votes trumps money.

I am hoping if it is Bush-Clinton somebody will step in and run as an independent. It is our best shot at breaking the log jam of the status quo.
Yeah, that would help, maybe, not sure.
Well .. you can excuse Jeb Bush all you want .. but I find it unseemly.
And .. I believe he did it because HE KNEW HE WAS GOING TO GET A LOT OF BOOOOOOS.
Support him if you want .. but I’ll never vote for him.
I believe he finished at the 5th place!!!
Has Florida had a better Governor than Jeb Bush???
I don’t know if there were any better; I can think of one worse: Charlie Christ.
I’m neither excusing him nor supporting him. I think he is a terrible candidate. I was just trying to point out the type of propaganda he was employing.
As a very successful Floridian Governor, what is it in your mind that makes him less electable than the other crowd???
At least he’s a NBC!!!
Did he also had you with his NOT a NBC???
Who bussed in supporters???
As a very successful Floridian Governor, what is it in your mind that makes him less electable than the other crowd???
At least hes a NBC!!!
WHY???
So WHO is your choice among the NBCs???
Where IS your source for that claim???
What do you base he’s not a Conservative on???
Is Cruizing a NBC???
As a very successful Floridian Governor, what is it in your mind that makes him less electable than the other crowd???
At least hes a NBC!!!
In that case WHO will you then vote for???
Bush.
Then WHO will you then vote for???
I see a lot of Bush-haters on this thread, most NON-Floridians. What is it from Cpac that’s putting him in the “silent” corner, compared to the rest of the crowd, many NOT a NBC???
I believe he was one of the best Florida Governors in modern time!!!
