‘Not Under Our City’ — Oil train protest speaks defiance to power

And, in a written statement, Seattle City Council member Kshama Sawant poured socialist ideological jargon onto oil-laden waters.

Sawant is proposing “non-violent civil disobedience actions” and to “nationalize the giant energy companies” to make them build wind turbines. The root of the oil train problem, she declared, is “the environmentally destructive capitalism.”

Worthy of note, however, is that the 20th century’s worst environmental depredations were the work of socialist Marxist regimes.

The catastrophe list includes … the Chernobyl reactor explosion and draining of the Aral Sea in the Soviet Union … the toxic “chemical capital” of Bitterfeld in East Germany … the disease-plagued mining center of Most in Czechoslovakia … and, of course, the choking air pollution of cities in northern China.

She must be hoping she gets a judge down for the cause who’ll dismiss. Otherwise telling a judge “I don’t follow da white man’s rules” is pretty much a guarantee you’ll get a guilty verdict.

Probably thinks the collegiate debates where you can rattle off about racism no matter what the topic only to win because guilty white liberals hand the award over is emblematic of real argumentative debate.

I can’t believe us Seattlites would vote this commie into office. Some of her workers have crammed a promotional sheet into our front door today, I wonder how much she paid them, $15 an hour or did she have them volunteer for $0?

“Kshama Sawant ... and three others were arrested for not leaving a roadway during a protest against big airlines for not paying their workers a living wage”

Put her in jail, and during the day give her a sledge hammer and some big rocks to break into small rocks. Then give her 3 free meals of beans and a bunk in the cell. That’ll be a “living wage” for her.

I just turned down a job offer in Seattle. My reason was that I might get arrested for peeing on Lenin’s statue.

I forget who said this but it goes something like this, “A person who represents himself has a fool for a client”
