I am perfectly OK with shutting it down.
Shut the whole damn thing down.
Let the chips fall where they may.

Are you aware that Bonehead gave the RATS everything they wanted?

Are you one of those people who likes passing bills for the sake of passing bills?

Did you like the Cromibus bill they rammed thru in the lame duck session too?

In theory it might not be a bad idea, but the reality of sending it to conference is that the exalted leaders in the Senate will pretty much walk all over the House reps and the end result will be pretty much be the Senate version.

No amnesty. No funding. Period.

If Congress passes anything, the judge could use it as a reason to drop the temporary order and kill the case.

What about sending the original House bill back to the Senate? Approve it in conference and it would only need 51 votes.

I see two options; 1. Stand your ground or 2. Sell out to Obama.

Just shut it down, offer funding bills that dismantle many portions thereof.

Here's what I'd like to see:

Go to conference and pass a bill that defunds amnesty.

Vote out the filibuster rule alla dingy harry

Send the bill to the president and let him shut down the government.

And wait.

Shut it down and drive a stake in its heart.

But to your point. Either pass a DHS funding bill using the nuclear option in the senate that defunds Barry’s illegal amnesty or just cave and pass a clean funding bill. Whats a 3 week or 1 week stall going to do. Its ridiculous. Fight or cave.

NO, when something is BAD, just scrap the thing. This voting to get along only makes for some very bad bills, that turn into smelly laws.!!

Does this mean that the Old Guard Republicans have finally listened to the Voice of The People? Or maybe it’s just wistful thinking on our part.

DHS should be shut down enough so that Obama cannot play his games with our immigration system.

Even if the entire Agency was denied funding all essential personnel will be going to work anyway.Only the non-essential paper-pushers will be staying home.

I say Kill the Agencies funding.Let Obama squirm for a while.

The Senate should vote on the bill already passed by the House or nothing.

Thank goodness
Now I can sleep,
I was terrified that at midnight shutdown time all the ISIS terrorists would attack everywhere here with the DHS shutdown.

I would only support a complete and permanent defumding of DHS and its abolition.
