Leonard Nimoy, who lived long and prospered, died Friday at his Los Angeles home.
The creator of Mr. Spock, televisions most beloved pointy-eared half-Vulcan, was 83 and had suffered for several years from chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD), which makes it difficult to breathe.
I quit smoking 30 yrs ago, he tweeted last week. Not soon enough. I have COPD. Grandpa says, quit now!! LLAP.
LLAP was Spocks best-known catch phrase: Live long and prosper.
To many of his fans, Leonard Nimoy was a one-hit wonder.
One hit that lasted half a century.
Nimoy created the beloved Mr. Spock in the 1960s cult TV show Star Trek and brought him back to life in movies, sequels, cartoons and spinoffs for the rest of his life.

My concern is that they'll use Zachary Quinto as a stand-in for Spock like they did with Hayden Christensen for Anakin in the "reboot" Star Wars classics.
Won't happen because the creators of Star Trek aren't complete and utter retards like George Lucas was and is....

What color are their shirts? If you say "Red" for any of them, that guy isn't coming back to the ship.

You have two stories confused. There were two different boys— one retracted his story and one has not.

Wow, I screwed that up. I’ve been having problems like that since my last mind meld. Damned half-breed interference!

Now he goes to “The Undiscovered Country” - Star Trek episode title and a line from Hamlet’s “To be, or not to be” soliloquy.

"I hope Mr. Nemoy rests in peace but, not being a Vulcan, I have mixed emotions about the whole Star Trek culture of progressive humanism."True but much of that was pressed on post-ST, post-Roddenberry.
TNG, VOY, DS9, ENT were loaded with that SJW excrement, but that has much more to do with their showrunners needing two dozen episodes of puerile hopegnosis for the feeble-minded couch potatos, or find themselves out of a job -- notably re: ENT...

Years ago, the reason I ran out and got the first Motorola flip-top cell phone, was Star Trek. I thought of Spock every time I opened it. RIP dear Leonard!

Wait, I heard that Rand died of an overdose of drugs. She lived a very unhappy life.

Some of the newer cable channels are running U.N.C.L.E. on a regular basis. Watch it all the time. I think that's where McCallum met his wife who would stay with him until she was stolen by Charles Bronson on the set of The Great Escape. She later died of cancer and so did Bronson. Can't remember her name, though. Jill something.

The lady agents were all ga-ga over how CUTE he was back then - David McCallum.LOL, Growing up, I was often compared to him, I even had a very similar haircut for my blonde hair. My last name is similar to the character, since my dad was Russian born. Middle name for the character was very Russian as well: Nikovetch.

I was thinking of spinoff shows where this was really played up, like DEEP SPACE-9 and Voyager. And to a degree, with Next Gen movies. Although the Ferengi were really greedy with their Gold Pressed Latinum. So some cultures in the future valued greed and prosperity, but it seems the Federation didn't and they were especially for weapons control.
