I’m guessing Pat wrote this (or at least the part about the Iranian boats posing a threat to the US fleet) before the Iranians conducted that downright comedic little “attack” on a fake US carrier.
I disagree. No ground troops. Bomb the shiite out of them. Nuke Mecca. The End.
Don’t forget Medina and Riyadh.
Hey Pat — the Muslims are serious about Islam subjugating the entire human race.
America needs to be serious about stopping them.
Don’t forget to immolate Pakistan and Indonesia.
From stem to stern.
War is the remedy our enemies have chosen and I say, let us give them all they want.
But to put that into Obama's hands?
We are really stuck.
The only way we send in the troops has to include with a new C & C. One who is American, with the goal to win.
You left out Islamabad.
Other than that I agree 100 percent
My humble apologies for my dire mistake.
Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.[Posted on 01/31/2013 5:08:50 PM PST by xzins]
[snip] eradicating ISIS is but the first of the wars Republicans have in mind. This coming week, at the invitation of Speaker John Boehner, Bibi Netanyahu will address a joint session of Congress. His message: Obama and John Kerry are bringing back a rotten deal that will ensure Iran acquires nuclear weapons and becomes an existential threat to Israel. Congress must repudiate Obama's deal, impose new sanctions on Iran and terminate the appeasement talks. Should Bibi and his Republican allies succeed in closing the ramp to a diplomatic solution, we will be on the road to war. [/snip]Y'know, because if it weren't for Israel and the GOP, those peaceful Iranians would be spending all their time making ploughshares.
What Pat doesn’t want to understand is it’s war now or bigger war later. Choose your poison Pat.
Par for the course with Pat, as his take on WWII has clearly shown.
I might be inclined to go with bigger war later, considering who the CinC is. I’d rather wait for someone competent to be running things.
DEM Platform: Multiple Wars without end. War on Poverty. War on 2d Amendment rights. War on “isms”. War on politically incorrect thought. War on productivity.
Which ones did I miss?
Send every muslim back to the saudi desert where they came from, and rebuild a Christian middle east.
As long as he drinks it, I don’t care which one he picks. ;’)
Why is he continually obsessing on this supposed plot by Bibi for us to go to war for Israel? It is my understanding that the only thing Israel has ever asked of us is to just sell them the weapons and materials. They will do the rest.
