LIGHT IN the LEOTARD!
I was looking at Etsy today, in the hopes of opening a venue to sell some artwork...some of them actually banded together and wrote their congresscritters IN SUPPORT of “net neutrality” and were congratulating each other for it!!!!! (Wonder if Barry Soebarkah wrote them a thank-you note, too.)
They seem to think that their avenue of commerce at Etsy will be SAVED by this piece of sh*t unconstitutional “law”! What idiots!!!! (I don’t think they even realize the FCC has no damned right to “pass a law”!!!
Now, I don’t know if it is the correct place to try and sell my artwork. I’m not sure I want to be in their company.
Will the people making a living making Youtube videos be strangled by Red Tape ?
Library? LOL it’s 8 miles away.
To use the library net, I have to make an appointment to use it for just one hour. Is it like that throughout the country? Just curious.
did reddit get the necessary licenses to operate their website?
LOL
BTW, welcome to Free Republic.
Thank you. I have spent many hours a day for many, many years on FRee. I feel I know a lot of you just by reading your posts. Thought it was about time to jump in and get my feet wet.
It’s been said that’s how Magic Johnson caught the AIDS. Too much Kareem in his coffee
you are right....
exactly!
They and the rest were driven by greed. I want speedy internet. NOW ! I want to do this, this, this, and get this as fast and as cheap as possible.
Simple competition would have taken care of all of that without the crushing regulation, certain taxation, and eventual censorship/proscecution of "hate speech", i.e., anything criticizing the Kenyan, his LGBT friends, and climate change.
But then the left does what it always does. Hold hearings to see "Why internet prices are so high" , offer MORE regulation, and paint Republicans as the bad guys because they are against more regulation. The media will help spin it to the point where the Repugnican'ts will be BLAMED for Net neutrality, the sheeple will believe it, and the typical lib will lie to themselves, and others and pretend it was never B.O's fault.
What if we started a sub reddit called /r/itoldyounetneutralitysucks ?
Where we put a “sticky” at the top outlining ALL the things we predict will happen under Net Neutrality. Then we post the stories, as they come out, proving what we have been saying.
We could heavily moderate it, and...uh, I guess that is it, other than we get put on a watch list. I’ll take the fall, sinceI really have nothing going for me anyway.
Didn’t say things would be easy or simple. I said the fight would continue.
Glad your sarcastic mentality wasn’t dominating the thinking of Churchill or the early Christian church....they faced much greater threats in the moment....Nazism just a channel away and Roman soldiers looking to cover them in tar and set them ablaze for Nero’s night parties....they looked beyond themselves and didn’t throw up their hands.
They rightfully recognized the problem but didn’t say “Oh well........the system is against us. We are doomed!”
I like it . Do it. I read the comments over there. They are all pretty much liberal Millenial types and 30 somethings that are incredibly gullible. If tou asked them what Net Neutrality truly was they'd probably all repeat the same lines Obama has been saying about "fairness" and "equality" and then realize they're not sure what that means. They'll go down in history as being the naive soft headed generation that gave away our nation to invading foreigners who took advantage of their stupidity. What a legacy!
It’s not about the odds being against us - it’s about looking to the mechanisms of a corrupt system to save us. I’m all for fighting to correct these problems, but it ain’t going to happen in the courts. Courts are only useful when you still have rule of law. Our court system is more along the lines of Soviet show trials now.
