Was that “Avatar”? Didn’t see it. I saw it in a bargain bin at WalMart recently. Is it worth viewing?
I read science fiction, watch westerns. As you might imagine, I don’t get out to theaters much anymore.
If you saw Kevin Costner’s movie ‘Dances With Wolves’ then just transplant the characters hundreds of years into the future, replace the Sioux with 12 foot tall blue aliens with tails, replace Costner’s character with a disabled Space Marine whose mind is transplanted into a cloned alien body, and the US Army Cavalry with corporate mercenaries seeking control of the aliens’ planet (Actually a moon of some faraway gas giant) for mining ‘Unobtainium’ minerals that defy gravity, and you basically have ‘AVATAR’...........AKA ‘Dances With Smurfs’......................Good movie if you suspend your logic and reason sections of your brain for three hours........... part animated computer graphics, part live action, also stars Sigourney Weaver..................
