In a windowless classroom at an Arcadia tutoring center, parents crammed into child-sized desks and dug through their pockets and purses for pens as Ann Lee launches a PowerPoint presentation..
Her primer on college admissions begins with the basics: application deadlines, the relative virtues of the SAT versus the ACT and how many Advanced Placement tests to take.
Then she eases into a potentially incendiary topic — one that many counselors like her have learned they cannot avoid.
“Let's talk about Asians,” she says.
Lee's next slide shows three columns of numbers from a Princeton University study that tried to measure how race and ethnicity affect admissions by using SAT scores as a benchmark. It uses the term “bonus” to describe how many extra SAT points an applicant's race is worth. She points to the first column.
African Americans received a “bonus” of 230 points, Lee says.
She points to the second column.
“Hispanics received a bonus of 185 points.”
The last column draws gasps.
Asian Americans, Lee says, are penalized by 50 points — in other words, they had to do that much better to win admission.
“Do Asians need higher test scores? Is it harder for Asians to get into college? The answer is yes,” Lee says.

Why aren’t Asian universities the best in the world?
I remember being 18 and going off to take a scholarship test, and coming away angry (and somewhat bitter) that all of the scholarships had gone to Chinese kids.
But the years have tempered my opinion. I have learned from meeting and working with them that those guys just work really, really hard. They earned it.
I’ll bet most Asians vote Democrat.
It’s those culturally biased SAT tests imported from China...

With a little advance planning you can give your child a major "bonus" points. 1.) Go to South Africa to give birth. Your child will be truly "African-America". 2.) Go to the Court House and have your child's name changed to "Jose Jimenez".

My niece went to Georgia Tech. The mathematics, computer science and engineering programs there are run by the Asians for the Asians. If you’re white, don’t apply. They will cut you out. So my brother tells me.
My son is getting his Chem E degree from Purdue; lots of Asians there, too, but Mitch Daniels isn’t going as hog-wild about giving them the run of the place the way his predecessor France Cordova did.
And despite the fact that they will gut the gweillos when then they can, give them credit; they got into these positions by working hard and studying hard. They aren’t there to party and get degrees in Transgender Studies.
So they are saying that there are dumb minorities and smart minorities ????

If you guessed other successful people with intact families who aren't white, then go to the head of the class.
If current trends are an indication, you will not be asking that question a generation from now.

SAT and ACT scores are accurate predictors of a person’s success in a college environment.
What this is saying is that the colleges want people to attend that are more likely to fail.
There was a huge debate about restricting Asians in college in Kalipornia just a couple of years ago, Democrats and leftists are all in favor of racial discrimination against Asians.
Asians were aghast. Asian “community groups” backed the discrimination because with leftist orgs, leftism comes before anything else.
A lot are very good but all lack the prestige of American or British schools. If you want to be a competent engineer they fill the bill but international recognition only comes from America or Europe. As well, the English skill are essential in the international markets. I have nieces and nephews educated in Thailand and one went on to grad school at MIT but that’s out of the reach of most economically. He Wes sponsored by his Thai employer.
