Your World anchor Neil Cavuto referenced Scott Walker and noted, "He didn't finish college. So, he doesn't have that prestigious degree. He could be up against an Ivy Leaguer like Hillary Clinton."
Ratzenberger zinged, "You know Ivy Leaguers and I know Ivy Leaguers. And I tell you, those are not the people whose houses you rush to after an earthquake." The actor mocked, "It's not like, 'he's got an MBA from Harvard. He'll know what to do!'" - See more at: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/scott-whitlock/2015/02/23/cheers-star-blasts-liberal-elites-you-dont-want-ivy-leaguer-disaster#sthash.qfTXoTQ1.dpuf

Oh, I don’t know. There’s one Ivy Leaguer I’d want on my side in SHTF situation: Ted Cruz. Trey Gowdy, too. George Bush went to Princeton as well, didn’t he?
‘. . . he is a Republican . . .’
A few years ago I helped check in Ratzenberger, and many others, at a semi-private event at the home of Republican supporters here in Ventura County, CA.
He came to speak in support of a Republican running for office in the county.
This area is just one hour north (and slightly west) of Los Angeles.
I used to watch his show Made In America and I sure got the impression he was rather conservative. Wiki says he’s a Republican.
Sam, Cliffy, Carla, and NORM were with the series from beginning to end. But did they all actually appear in each and every episode?
I’d have never thought to look for PK Dick at Gutenberg. Thanks! He died in 82. With our insane copyright laws, I wonder how any of his stuff ended up in the public domain.
He’s not been in my kitchen either.
I remember an interview with Ratzenberger a long time ago where he talked about his audition for Cheers. They asked what part he was auditioning for and he said “bar know it all.” He had their interest. There was some wood thing on the desk and he started describing it’s history as only Cliff could do. The show’s creators looked at each other as they had no such part in mind but after that, they made one.
Great story...never heard that before.
Nothing like a good emergency to reveal the quality of a person’s character, and ability to remain calm and make intelligent decisions under stressful conditions.
