You don't need to "do" social media to use Tweeter.

I've been using Tweeter for years and have yet to "tweet" anything. I just sign up to get the feeds of certain people.

Go to Twitter.com and just sign up for free. You never have to post a thing.

BTW, Free Republic is technically "social media."
