How do you become a Member of the Academy? Do you submit an application? Do you just pay dues? Are you appointed? Do you have to “rush” it like a fraternity? Rather than whine about the results, which are determined by the vote, why don’t you whine about getting the vote?

I’m hard pressed to recall any Asian-Americans even being nominated for an Oscar, ever, apart from the Cambodian Dr. Haing S. Ngor. Sessue Hayakawa? Nancy Kwan? And yet, they never picketed the joint.
