Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) will miss a crucial vote in the U.S. Senate next week. Senate Republicans will try to break the Democrat filibuster of a House-passed bill that funds the entire Department of Homeland Security (DHS) but blocks funding for President Obamas executive amnesty. Rubio will miss the vote because hell be in New Hampshire, testing the waters for a potential presidential campaign.
“Rubio will be in New Hampshire early next week, where he’s going to miss at least one vote in the Senate on the DHS deadlock, Politicos Burgess Everett wrote on Friday morning in the tip sheet email by Politico, Huddle.
Rubios spokesman Alex Conant confirms that Rubio will miss the vote, since he doesnt expect it to pass.
Yes, he’s expected to miss the same procedural vote on Monday afternoon that he’s already cast several times already and we know will not pass, Conant said in an email to Breitbart News.
It’s not unusual for presidential candidates to miss Senate votes. Senator Rubio has not made a final decision about 2016, but he’s seriously considering running for president and taking the necessary steps to prepare a competitive campaign.
As he travels the country meeting with voters, there will be no doubt where he stands on any important issues before the Senate. Regarding the underlying issue: Marco does not and will not support a clean DHS funding bill that does not repeal the Presidents unconstitutional executive order on immigration.

Rubio & all of his staff & handlers should re-think all of this:
1. The presidential election isn’t for another 20+++++ months.
2. New Hampshire isn’t going anywhere. It will still be there after this coming week.
3. Other candidates will make mincemeat of him on any future campaign efforts IF he deliberately missed this vote. They will be able to bring up this absence again & again.
4. Not having enough spine to stand up NOW & let the American voter know what his position on AMNESTY REALLY is, makes us very wary of such a candidate.
5. The border has been more than just porous for Mexicans. MS-13 has flooded this country already & Muslims are also crossing our southern borders.
Rubio is proving himself to be a coward when the chips are down.
He has already lost MY vote with these actions.

Guess I’ll see if I can “miss voting” for Rubio for the same reason that he can just walk away from Senate votes.

Has Rubio publicly stated how he would vote if he was there?
To: zeestephen
Sorry...
He did make a public statement - that DHS should not be shut down.
I should have clicked through and read the whole article.
There is no way I will EVER vote for this guy.
He helped write the 2013 Gang of Eight Amnesty.
Instant, PERMANENT disqualification on that fact alone.

I can’t wait to vote against you, Marky.

You’re too kind.
I’m trying to remember how a Cuban friend of mine referred to such as Rubio.
Oh yeah... Gusano along with a string of dirty Spanish words.
Enjoy the winter sports up in NH senor Rubio, you’re already skating on thin ice.

Don’t forget, Obama used Marco’s amnesty bill, and the fact the House wouldn’t vote on it as part of his excuse to provide amnesty via executive action. Obama would have been in a much more difficult position if he was not able to claim there was a bipartisan bill passed by the Senate but blocked by the Tea Party. Thanks again Marco. Seriously, I’m not convinced this guy is competent in his current position, why would anyone give him more responsibility?

You’re so right! His picture should be in the dictionary right next to the term “empty suit”.
