NEW DELHI — Officials in India want to make one thing clear: The tree that President Barack Obama planted in New Delhi three weeks ago is not dead.
It just looks dead.

Perhaps the word “dead” has a different meaning in Eastern culture? If Obama touched the tree, it’s as dead-dead as a mummified monk, just like our economy, our medical system, our borders, and our freedoms.
