I never quite understood the Starbucks business model.
They have taken an everyday item, coffee, and made it somehow into something which appeals to yuppies and trendy wealthier people. People who are willing to pay $6 for a simple cup of coffee. Somehow they have made coffee into some sort of gourmet item, and priced it accordingly.
I’m sure it all pencils out, and makes Starbucks a profitable company. And that’s capitalism 101, so that’s all good in that respect. I just never understood the appeal of why so many people are willing to pay so much money for coffee.
If you price something high enough, and give it a pretentious name, you can get some people to eat anything. Nobody would eat snails at .50¢ a pound, but call it escargot and charge $25 for five or six of them, and they’ll beat down your door to get to them.

Simple!
They’re mostly lefties that know that Starpuke sends a sizable portion of their profits to Planned Barrenhood, Rainbow Coalition, Barack Obama, and every other Anti-American cause there is.
