WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, believes that the Obama administration is counterfeiting immigration documents under the presidents immigration plan.
Speaking to Fox News following a federal judges decision to temporarily halt President Barack Obamas executive action on immigration, the potential Republican presidential contender said the commander in chief is ignoring federal law.
One of the things it points out is the president has claimed, rather absurdly, that the basis of his authority is prosecutorial discretion. That hes simply choosing not to prosecute 4.5 million people here illegally, Cruz told Fox News. But what the district court concluded, quite rightly, is theyre doing far more than that. The administration is printing work authorizations. It is affirmatively acting in contravention of federal law. Basically, what its doing is counterfeiting immigration documents, because the work authorizations its printing are directly contrary to the text of federal law. It is dangerous when the president ignores federal law.
U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanens decision late Monday puts on hold Obamas orders that could spare from deportation as many as 5 million people who are in the U.S. illegally.
In a memorandum accompanying his order, Hanen said the lawsuit should go forward and that the states would suffer irreparable harm in this case without a preliminary injunction.
The genie would be impossible to put back into the bottle, he wrote, adding that he agreed that legalizing the presence of millions of people is a virtually irreversible action.

For later.
It would be easy to conduct a sting operation to catch any federal employees or contractors distributing the cards.
Perhaps you all need to do more research. Wisconsin is part of the Lawsuit.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican mulling a 2016 presidential run, requested Republican Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen to join the suit.
——why did he table Right To Work when his Statehouse said they had the votes to pass it?
Another inaccuracy. Walker has not derailed Right to Work. Hes letting the legislature do the blocking and tackling.
MADISON, Wis. — Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald said Friday there will be enough votes to pass a right-to-work bill in Wisconsin this session after the GOP majority grows to 19 following the April election to fill a vacant seat.
You seem to be quite the source for c(** tonight.
Thanks for the correction and the link.
Youre welcome.
Did you sign up 10 days ago just to attack Walker? Whats Hillary paying?
I see that Gov Walker also Tweeted about the TX Judge injunction, yesterday.
Whooo...so sly ;)
Go Cruz.
Hopefully their Adobe photoshop skills have improved. Some court might actually scrutinize a poor illegal alien’s documents.
“It is affirmatively acting in contravention of federal law.”
That would be an impeachable offense if it weren’t for
prosecutorial discretion on the part of congress.
Once again for the 156th time whos going to stop him.
“They will attack his illegibility.”
Not if they can’t read it.
I don’t believe Obama was born in the US But I have yet to see official documents of such. Obama is the result of mama Stanley Ann being impregnated by an SE Asian cult guru but having to go with a commie student to Kenya for actual birth.
Agree, and the millions of dollars that has been stolen and placed onto minority bank accounts should be confiscated too.
Been a reader for many years.
Not working for anyone but the citizens and the Constitution.
If Walker was too he would be against changing laws to benefit illegal aliens and their employers.
Enforcement is the only way to keep the rule of law.
I stand corrected, thank you. I made the charge elsewhere, I’ll go correct myself there, too.
