On Wednesday, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush reiterated that immigration reform is hugely important for America even though the countrys middle class, as Bush acknowledged, is getting more squeezed.
Immigration reform for our country is so hugely important. Race is not a national identifier in this country. Were 34 flavors. Were as diverse as diverse can get, Bush said during a question-and-answer session after his foreign policy address at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. And that is a huge strength looking over the horizon right now, where multiculturalism kind of creates pockets of despair in Europe in many cases.
Bush, who has been praised by top GOP 2016 donors for leading on the amnesty issue, said the United States has this potential of being young and dynamic again and, if Europe embraced that similar kind of approach, I think that they could see some economic growth as well.
But his response to an audience members question on the permanency of poverty displayed that his support for massive comprehensive amnesty legislation may make it tougher for Americans to move up the economic ladder.
Bush addressed the stickiness of poverty and the dramatic increases in innovation and exponential increases in automation that are making many more jobs obsolete. Senators like Alabamas Jeff Sessions (R-AL) have also addressed how automation increasingly threatens American workers. Bush said the increase in automation is a huge challenge for policymakers, especially since Americas policies have worked to provide material benefits to people in poverty, but they havent worked to lift them out of poverty and allow Americans in poverty to have the capacity to achieve earned success.
Bush spoke about the permanency of poverty, ...

Stop the madness..
I agree, manc. How is Jeb Bush any different from a Dem? That stuff doesn’t wash anymore.
First kiss my a$$ Jeb.
Second it’s 31 flavors idiot.
Third I will never ever vote for you no matter if satan (Hillary) is the other option.
I could not disagree more.
There are two nations in this land, who are destined either for perpetual conflict or eventual peace. There are also a lot of guests.
Two. Not 34.
“Why dont you clean your own pool and mow your own lawn?”
Better yet, just pack up your Beaner Wife and your half-breed kids and move down to Mexico. Frankly, I’m done with guys like you pi$$ing on your own citizens.
Yeah...you’d think we’d learn about the consequences of “cheap foreign labor” after the Civil War
But it’s all about them getting their lawns done and toilets cleaned and their pals getting minimum wage (or less) “help”
You know why conservatives and socialists in Europe have both been losing ground?
Because they’re destroying the middle and working class in the name of upholding multiculturalism and neo-liberal economic ideology.
Republicans who follow El Jefe Bush and Comrade Hillary Clinton will do to our two parties what happened in Greece and in Italy to establishment parties.
People don’t want their children to be out of work to be guinea pigs for the elites’ twisted view of how the world should work.
It is one thing to select another Rino. I very unhappy but there are some personable and reasonable intelligent Rinos...both Romney and Ryan come to mind. But this dude will lose even if the Democrat, Hillary or otherwise, is under arrest.
If Jeb wins the nomination I sit out this election. First time ever.
Jeb is exactly what The Cheap Labor Express wants in a candidate. If he wins then the voters have endorsed amnesty. He’s not going to win, of course.
He is the designated loser, just like McCain and Romney.
McCain said No Amnesty, but nobody believed him. He had just authored McCain/Kennedy.
Romney said No Amnesty, but anyone who believed anything from Romney hasn’t seen the 1990’s tapes. He ran to Drunk Teddy’s left for Senate.
We haven’t been allowed to vote for anyone who wasn’t on board The Cheap Labor Express since Reagan.
Ted Cruz is the only one running who might not betray us.
Jeb certainly will.
Walker probably would. He’s hinted at it. (I think he’s Plan B.)
Krispy Kreme, Rubio, Rand Paul are not running. There all amnesty guys anyway.
Huckabee and Carly are on the payroll just to disrupt things so Ted Cruz is not nominated.
The money and power do not want us to be able to elect anyone who actually WOULD stop the invasion.
They want to steal our country.
Shaddup, Jebbie.
Jeb Bush will not get my vote.
I detest him.
This jeb guy is the enemy of the entire middle class.Damn, will we ever be able to get away from these northeast liberal families?
Good point, but you can't beat somebody with nobody. That is to say, you can't just say Anybody But Jeb; you have to have a specific alternative. And the problem is that people who don't want Jeb split the vote among a variety candidates who promise to be the most conservative.
As with last time and the time before, the candidate who might be able to beat Jeb (or Romney or McCain) wouldn't be his total opposite, but somebody who shares at least a few of his qualities --somebody with executive experience, somebody who doesn't scare the swing voters, etc. -- but somebody a lot more dynamic than Jeb.
What bothers me is how it’s being reported that Jeb Bush is out in front of this whole thing.
When do we vote on the candidates? Lets get down to brass tacks here, the suspense on this whole thing is killing me.
You are right on in your thinking.
Statement of the day. I've been saying the same thing since 1987 when I joined FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform). I've written the letters; sent the emails; called the Reps; protested on the streets; joined the Minutemen, watched entire towns in Cali turn into barrio ghettoes, saw the increase of Latin gangs, et al.
I've tried to make the above point so many times. Let me end with this: When bleeding hearts say that walls don't work, you only have to look at what California did. A double wall with a Border Patrol road in-between that Rep. Duncan Hunter got through, reduced illegal immigration by over 90%. That is why the illegals turned to Arizona.
There is no need for the entire border to have such a barrier. There are 100's of miles that don't have access to "staging" areas for the coyotes (desert wasteland). I know because I made the drive from San Diego to Tucson to patrol the border. Or just look on a map. You only need to build them in the most prolific crossing areas as we did in Cali. It's a simple fix that was law and then abandoned.
Disclaimer: I have always supported LEGAL immigration.
You can afford a pool and a lawn?
