Oh, absolutely. His next move will likely be to convince enough democrats to stop the filibuster to a. pass the bill so it gets to the president so he can veto it so it can be sent back to the House, who will likely then pass a clean bill; or b. amend the bill bringing it down to a clean bill, then sending it back to the House to repass so the president gets a clean bill.
They’re just going through the motions in playing the game. But nevertheless, McConnell has been put into the delicious position of pretending to stop Amnesty, which he must hate to his core.
