State Department Spokesperson Marie Harf told Chris Matthews tonight that we cannot win this war with ISIS by killing them. She said we have to get to the root cause of why people are attracted to Jihad — you know like poverty, jobs, etc…

Has she got some world experience outside of a college dorm, has she worked her way up through the ranks that quick that she is so good at her job or is this based on her radical left leanings?

We would need to fight similarly to how we fought in WW2. Not with current "Rules of Engagement". We would have to kill a sufficient number of millions (to include their women and children as well), that for generations afterwards they would have no stomach for trying to take us on again.
Machiavelli once said "Do not do your enemy a small injury", by which he meant "Don't hurt your enemy just enough to piss him off, while not impacting his ability nor desire to continue to fight you." We have been doing nothing but inflicting "small injuries". We need to go after the wealthy Arabs who finance global jihad.
Root cause? Maybe the same root cause that drives serial killers to kill, torture, and abuse their fellow man. ISIS held territory is a paradise for anyone who likes that kind of thing. Under the blessing of “jihad” they can abuse, assault, torture, maim, and kill their fellow man without any consequences. That is why you see westerners joining the so called jihad. Some of them seem to be committing or at least in on the worst of the atrocities. It’s asinine to pretend the root causes include “poverty” and “lack of opportunity for jobs”.
In this sense the ISIS thugs are simply sadistic criminals, it might be their sadistic criminal desires driving them to murder, maim, torture their victims. Jihad might be a convenient excuse.
