Andrew Scott Hanen (born 1953) is a United States federal judge.
Hanen was born in Elgin, Illinois, but was raised in Waco, Texas. He received a B.A., with honors, from Denison University in 1975 and a J.D. from Baylor Law School in 1978, where he graduated first in his class. He was a briefing attorney to the Hon. Joe Greenhill, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, from 1978 to 1979. He was then in private practice in Houston, Texas from 1979 to 1993.
In 1992, Hanen was nominated by President George H. W. Bush to be a United States District Judge, but the nomination lapsed.[1] On January 23, 2002, he was again nominated by President George W. Bush to a seat on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas vacated by Filemon Vela, Sr.. Hanen was confirmed by a 97-0 vote of the United States Senate on May 9, 2002,[2] and received his commission on May 10, 2002.
Abbott for president
(In a typically petulant Obama voice):
“How many divisions does that Federal judge have?”
According to the WND article, the judge said the injunction is until:
a final resolution of the merits of this case
or
until a further order of this court,
the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit
or the United States Supreme Court,
Further down in the article it says the Fifth Circuit is conservative-leaning.
Oh THAT is good news!!
Keep your fingers crossed. I think some key people may have presented and proved the whole amnesty thing was pre-planned and staged to the right ears. The King will not be happy.
No kidding, I’m stunned.

there are two other courts to which this could go.
huge bttt!
Double huge bttt!!!
Drudge needs to pick this up
“The judge also explained the defendants will be allowed to reapproach this court for relief from this order, in the time period between the date of this order and the trial on the merits,...”
Now, DRAG IT OUT til the duck has limped out of the White Hut...
Yes, but this is a lawless administration, and who is going to impeach Ostupid? With the MSM on their side, I think they will ignore it or find some way to spin out of it.
yep. when the planet finally implodes, crosses the event horizon into a black hole, collides with a comet, or is simply blown up by its inhabitants, the last noise it utters to the universe before it winks out of existence will be from this web site, and it will be, see? told you so.

And federal goons will be waiting at that federal judges office tomorrow when it opens with 0’s attorneys. That federal judge better get himself some heavyhanded protection because there are criminal elements in this country that align themselves with His Highness.
icwhatudo:
I wonder which it will be this time:
See my Post #40 on how the gov could throw a wrench into that.
Theodore R.:
Dont jump to conclusions. The liberals always win in the end.
Ok, given a governor actually having the stones to declare invasion and call up the militia / National Guard, then demanding that the federal government honor US Constitution Art 4, Sec 4, there are three possible responses from the federal government:
“The liberals always win in the end.”
They win about 90 percent of the time. Much higher the last 25 years.
> We owe Greg Abbott a great big boatload of thanks.
We also need to hit the phones this morning in Congress and get the Senate Dems off their rear ends.
You wouldn’t have see this with Wendy Davis in office. Gregg Abbott needs your support. He’s one of the good guys.
