Best News All Day BUMP!
This just put me in a great mood for the rest of the day. Well done, Governor Abbott!
Nonsense.
Love you my dear Home State of Texas and Love you Greg Abbott.
And Stay Safe Judge!!!
Woo hoo! Great news!!
May God continue to bless my state, Texas! Take that, 0bola!
Thanks for the pings, y’all ;-)
It is my belief that Mitch (and everyone else) was counting on just such a decision by the courts. The decision makes the Senate vote moot because the policy is voided.
DHS can now be funded with no amnesty problem worries.
Nonsense. Cite one instance where the Obama administration has refused to comply with an order issued by a federal court including the Supreme Court.
Obama must address the order and try to overturn it or get a different ruling from another federal court at or above this level. He can't ignore it. Refusing to comply is not an option. This is not to say that this ruling will not be overcome by our Lawbreaker in Chief.
The tenure of both President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder has been marked by a dangerous push to legitimize a vast expansion of the power of the federal government that endangers the liberty and freedom of Americans. They have taken such extreme position on key issues that the Court has uncharacteristically slapped them down time and time again. Historically, the Justice Department has won about 70 percent of its cases before the high court. But in each of the last three terms, the Court has ruled against the administration a majority of the time.
What a load of rubbish! The November 2014 elections, which gave the Republicans their biggest majority in the congress for a hundred years, not to mention control of more state houses of assembly and governorships than ever before, was a resounding repudiation and total rejection of Obama and everything he stands for by the American people.
“Nonsense. Cite one instance where the Obama administration has refused to comply with an order issued by a federal court including the Supreme Court.”
IRS documents. “Refused” means they won’t. Delay delay and delay also means they won’t. It’s just a nice way of saying refused.
This judge was a nominee of both the Bush Presidents. The first nomination died
in committee but was approved 97-0 after the 2nd nomination.
Are we really going to trust a black robed tyrant?
We must not give up the fight in the Congress against executive amnesty.
Option A is to get another judge to remove this injunction.
If he can’t (and he most likely can), then he will just then simply decree something similar with the same effect.
Look at the NLRB case.
At the end of the day, the GOP was defeated by Reid and tricked into confirming a bunch of communists anyway in exchange for Reid not invoking the nuclear option (we all know how that turned out).
The effect of the SCOTUS ruling just changed the players, not the game. None of the decisions by the illegal appointees were overturned.
This is not a win.
You “win” against communists when they go to prison and are removed from power.
That is the only true measure of victory.
They have provided many documents, but many more are needed. Congress did get its hands on the backup tapes finally. In the case of the IRS, Obama has been defying Congress more than the courts.
Has Obama ignored or failed to comply with any SCOTUS rulings?

Awesome, the entire south plus the middle corridor from Texas to ND are always pretty reliable.
The only thing I can think of that on which liberals have not prevailed is their longstanding attempt to repeal section 14b of the Taft-Hartley Act. That’s because the chamber of commerce won’t join them on that one.
Pat Buchanan, with whom I disagree on Israel, clarified your point years ago in an out-of-print book, ‘’Conservatives Votes, Liberal Victories’’.
No matter who is elected, liberals still prevail and have since 1930.
