Denmark, to its credit, blew up its own naval ships to keep the nazis from using them and saved most of its Jewish population by moving them. nazis be damned. Any country who doesn’t value its Jewish population be damned.

Yes, Denmark did far more to help the Jews during WWII than most other European countries. There is a story (apparently a myth) that King Christian X declared that he would wear a yellow star if the Nazis forced Danish Jews to wear stars. Because all Danes were the same in his eyes.

It may be a myth, but it is an indication that the King was supportive -- there is no similar myth from France or the Netherlands. For obvious reasons.
