Brian Williams did not finish college. This is some of the reason he was puffing himself up with these tall tales. To compensate as though he got his education on the job with these concocted incidents. I feel sorry for him but NBC is partly to blame for tolerating this, so allowing his fakery to get out of hand.
Williams was getting the ratings so NBC let him slide. END RESULT:both parties look like fools
