The Internet is arguably the greatest invention to come out of America. The Internet has created more millionaires and billionaires in the last 20 years than any other industry.
With the Internet, there are almost no barriers to entry and a massive capital infusion is generally not needed to get started.
The Internet has also been one of the greatest boons for freedom and liberty since the invention of the printing press. Thanks to the Internet, the media elites no longer control the news and information. In fact, the media elites are now subject to and can be brought down by bloggers on the Internet. Brian Williams of NBC is simply the latest to discover this.
Given the success of the Internet, it is no wonder that Barack Obama hates the Internet. He hates anyone who dares to disagree with him. And now, he is working hard to bring the Internet under government control before he leaves office.
The Obama Regime is launching two attacks on the freedom of the Internet. First, it wants to have the FCC declare the Internet to be a public utility. This is a breathtaking expansion of the FCCs authority without congressional approval. If the Internet is declared a public utility, the government will control the Internet.
What could possibly go wrong?
As Sen. Ted Cruz pointed out, the end result would be slower broadband, less competition and open the door to the ultimate goal of Democrats: the ability to suck the Internet for billions in new taxes.

There will come a day very soon where if you have not prepared, you will be cut off from your ability to prepare.
I would think this would show - once and for all - the danger posed by the gargantuan regulatory apparatus that is the exclusive property of the executive branch.
A competent opposition party would be able to shut this effort down over the course of a few days. Especially one that controls both houses of Congress.
Key word here is “competent.” Which is why it’s a pipe dream.
Whatever happened to Darrell Issa, and Trey Goudy, an all the subpoenas they were going to issue?
One of the Democrats great techniques in recent years is to launch on some minor issue of a Republican administration, rev up five or ten congressional investigations and special prosecutors, let the incendiary details come out drip by drip over a period of a year or two, and thereby tie up the executive branch in so many PR horror shows that they can’t go to the bathroom in peace. Thereby derailing their entire second-term agenda, and legacy.
Of course, we can’t expect the Republicans to do anything like that. Another pipe dream.
Yep, the Republicans should be all over this but I suspect there are a fair number that could care less or may in fact support it.
.
Free Republic or Pravada, which one do you want?
Liberals everywhere will be mystified when the Democrats start “disappearing” their internet sources.
“But, but... you promised... I didn’t know...” they’ll all bleat.
I can already hear it.
Scary:
“The truly alarming attack is coming from the Federal Election Commission. The Democrats, or as they are known to most real Americans the Party of Treason, wants to limit political speech on the Internet. The Democrats on the FEC do not simply want to put limits on political advertising; they want to put limits on political speech.
“In the Democrats rabid hysteria over the Citizens United case, some important facts are completely forgotten. The McCain-Feingold campaign finance bill, which was partially struck down by Citizens United, put onerous restrictions on free speech by organizations.”
Like they say:
“Give the Sahara Desert to the government and within five years there won’t be a speck of sand left”......
“First, it wants to have the FCC declare the Internet to be a public utility.”
An awful lot of people worked hard, and many gave their lives, so that we could have a Nation where some bigshot couldn’t just MAKE UP “LAW” AS HE GOES!
I’m not buying this. I’m not living like this.
as we have all heard and history proves; Freedom isn’t free. The way this fraud in the WH and his regime are moving and Congress is just collecting a pay check while doing nothing close to what they swore an oath to defend, it’s reasonable to conclude that America is facing some very ugly times and likely before Nov. 2016.

What? The Internet is more important than the telegraph, the telephone, the electric light bulb, the airplane, television, Coca-Cola, potato chips, baseball, football, basketball, peanut butter or fortune cookies?

What Congress?
