Nova Scotia police say they've stopped a plot to kill a large number of people in Halifax on Saturday.
Police said they have three suspects involved in the alleged plot in custody, and another was found dead in a home in Timberlea, N.S.
"We want people to know we became aware, we acted quickly and intercepted a threat," said Nova Scotia RCMP Commanding Officer Brian Brennan.
He said a man and woman planned to go to a public venue in the Halifax region on Feb. 14 "with a goal of opening fire to kill citizens, and then themselves."
Brennan said a tip was received Thursday morning that a 19-year-old man from Timberlea and a 23-year-old woman from Geneva, Ill., had access to firearms and presented a significant weapons-related threat.
The roles of the other male suspects, aged 20 and 17, of Halifax and Cole Harbour respectively, is still to be determined as part of the investigation, police said Friday night.
Police tracked the 19-year-old down to Tiger Maple Drive in Timberlea, entered the house and found him dead early Friday.
At 2 a.m. Friday, police arrested the 20-year-old man and the female suspect at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. airport. The woman was arriving in Canada, and the man was meeting her.
At 11 a.m. Friday, police arrested the 17-year-old in Cole Harbour.

If ZERO (or his PR frontmen in the White House or the numerous other apologists for the “Religion of Peace”) say that murderous acts carried out by radical Islamic extremists do not represent the “true Islam,” then it just stands to reason that such acts cannot be “culturally based.”
By the way, the press conference (link below) is a masterpiece of evasion in terms of providing anything beyond the minimum information required to acknowledge that the incident occurred.

The 23 year old woman is said to originate from Geneva, IL.
According to the Wikipedia entry for the community (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geneva,_Illinois#Demographics), it is a small, fairly wealthy town in the western suburbs of Chicago. The population is 95% white according to the census. Median annual household income is $95K.
This is starting to sound like fantasy role players hooking up to carryout an apocalyptic massacre. Maybe a scaled up Sandy Hook type killing spree???
