I’d like to hang around and respond to any comments but I’ve got to get some sleep! I’ll respond this evening after I get back from work!
seems these are all obammy people.
Moe’s who voted for the poser.
That can be very intimidating.
The unions feel the Dems can force employers to deal with them (as they already do on government contracts and such); they are simply driving more work “off the books”, with unionized workers being replaced by illegal aliens (never mind non-unionized citizens).
The union workers go on strike. The rest of the sheeple just complain and then comply with Obamacare.
Who has it correct?
Hmmm, then the American sheeple are in the same boat the average rank and file union member is in - their leadership sucks.
Political and union leaders seem to have the same problem - they are right about as often as a stopped clock - and act only under pressure from the rank and file. Just as many union rank and file have it as right as American sheeple, union members are just a cross section of the sheeple.
nateman instead of “Unions were major backers of Obamacare” its more accurate to say union leaders were major backers of Obamacare. Union rank and file have about as much effect on union leadership as American sheeple have on political leadership.
America has a leadership problem.
True enough. A lot of union members are simply along for the ride. Its why some 40% of union members in Michigan supported RTW.
...and there's the answer. The Regime will provide their union pets a special exemption. Or, Obama will just issue another executive action. Why not. What's one more? No one can stop him.
“No one can stop him.”
Oh, they could stop him if they wanted. The problem is all
of the democrats and most of the republicans are on his
side.
They'll probably try, but fact is, there are a lot of non-union companies who provide cadillac plans to their workers and are subject to the taxes. To just single out those with union workers would be a gold lettered invitation to more lawsuits.
They want a “free” single payer (government) system.
Thought he made sure unions were exempt from his health insurance requirements and penalties...?
Major strikes proliferate when inflation starts biting seriously at the value of union workers’ income. That .5% official inflation is just as phoney as Hussein’s birth certificate. Real inflation, or at least the prices paid day by day in the grocery store and the hardware store etc has been running somewhere between 7 and 10%. I am mystified that it has taken this long for the strikes to start happening. My nominal income has increased by about 30% in 5 years. I have had no loans to repay or mortgage so my expenses are of the day to day kind and I have to work much harder now at cutting corners and buying cheaper substitutes than I did back then.
Breaking intimate people is positively perverse.
Until they get serious. Then they just break the people.
Right now we have a huge dockworkers/longshoreman strike going on along the Pacific Coast ports. The AVERAGE union member worker at these ports makes $147K. That means the person in the crane is pulling down well over $200K. This is more than a lot of doctors, dentists, lawyers, MBA holders earn. My point is they make much more than someone who went to college for 6-9 years and potentially put themselves in major debt to fund that education. However, that is their choice.
Currently, this strike is affecting the GDP of the US. It is hampering imports and exports severely. Yet, they want more money and they want more of their health insurance paid. We all know what Reagan would have done, either back to work or your all fired. We also know the only reason they think they can get away with this current strike is because of the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
We all know Obama has got their back.
