NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares of Panera Bread dropped Thursday after the restaurant and bakery chain's outlook for the year disappointed investors.
The company said business investments, higher medical costs and increased minimum wages will squeeze its profit margins and that earnings per share could decline in 2015.

Besides that (if that weren't enough), their business model has gone to crap. The bakery variety has been cut almost in half, and the sandwiches are now pitiful.
Panera blows. Overpriced and undersized, IMO.
....I'd guess you Panera Bread could blame Odinga for that..........We shall see if they do. Doubt it...
I remember when they “asked” people with guns to stay out.
I stayed out, and have no intention of going back.
unlike Panera, there is no snootyness
But their suggestion lets me know what side of the issue they are on.
“Never felt the need to be armed in there.”
That’s the way it was in the Killeen, Texas Luby’s caferteria in October, 1991 when a lunatic shot and killed 21 people there. One diner had to leave her handgun locked in the car trunk when she entered, then she helplessly watched her parents being killed.
This was the impetus of the Texas concealed carry law that followed quickly after that as a result.
Any of those feeding facilities want to ban guns?
Let me know in advance so I know where not to go.
The food is good; its just expensive for the portions. I think their high prices may be a factor besides the gun ban(which I just learned of in this post).
My wife likes the place more than me, but when she suggests going there I usually counter with going to one of the local deli's; where we get more for a better price, and its just as good. So we might go there 1 out of every 5 times its suggested, and its the prices that are usually the deterrent.
I try to eat there a few times a month. Their Asian Salad is incredible with a steak and cheese panini. Hopefully they just had a bad quarter. Many places go back and forth. I doubt they are going anywhere anytime soon.
Here is a huge listing of the companies that ban guns. Sonic and Chipole has decided to ban guns too.

Has got nothing to do with the poor outlook.
Face it, virtually all corporations are adopting liberal positions to one degree or another.
Decent Turkey Chili
Drive-Thru service.
I dont care to go inside anyway.
I never like their atmosphere or their menu, but I am in CA.
Breakfast sandwich selections are decidedly “Un-Southern” though.
Not sure what kind of chesse that is and the “meat” sure aint like any sausage I grew up eating. Bleeck.
Yep. We go to Newk’s now. Much better food. And no “No Guns Allowed” signs.
Ate there once. Not going back. Neither good nor bad impression, just no impression at all. If I like a place I go back. Must not have liked it much.
Wendy’s chili IS good.
I don’t really like Panera Bread very much. Their sandwich bread is very thick, which I don’t like. (I prefer what’s in the middle).
But I read somewhere that their coffee is excellent. I keep meaning to stop by and try it.
I stopped shopping at Panera, Target, Chipotle once they took the side of the Anti-2Aers.
If I want to shop, I will spend my money in those establishments which respect the 2A. I OC in the local pizza shop where I regularly go, and they nod and smile when they see the gun on my hip.
My gun is a part of me, 24/7. Any establishment which says no guns is saying no to me.
