That Japs had one huge battleship during WWII that the U.S. sunk before it could do any damage. I could be wrong when it was sunk but I think it happened about the same time as the battle of Midway. Can’t remember the name of it but I think Yamamoto was on board at the time it went down.

OK WWII historians, lets hear it.

There were two- the Yamato and the Musashi. Torpedos and aerial bombing did them both in.

Yamamoto was killed when his Betty bomber was shot down by P-38’s while he was visiting islands in the Pacific.

You're a tad off. It was the IJN Shinano, sunk in November '44, long after Yamato bit the junglet due to an acute attack of P-38s. The Shinano was a Yamato-class BB hull finished out as an aircraft carrier. A U.S. sub got her right after she was comissioned, without even her watertight doors installed yet.

Yamamoto’s airplane was shot down in the South Pacific, near Papua New Guinea, the result of radio intercepts that had been decoded.

Gadzooks, Dave-- The level of your history ignorance... surpasses a 10-plus on the Richter scale.

All you have to do is Google "Japanese Super Battleship" and "Yamamoto" to get all the info you need--

But no, you have to show your complete lack of knowledge for all to see.

No wonder The Obamanation and company gets re-elected with such intelligence... being demonstrated on a Conservative Website.
