TACOMA — Police are still looking for the man accused in a violent attack on a lesbian woman.
The 45-year-old woman was attacked, stabbed and dragged by a leash early Sunday morning in what police are treating as a hate crime.
“It’s so horrific that she can’t even fathom how this could happen to anyone let alone herself,” said Gretchen, the victim’s roommate, who spoke on behalf of her friend because the victim is still so scared. “It’s so wrong.”
The woman was attacked around 2:45 a.m. Sunday morning as she left her home to look for her dog, which had run off, Tacoma police said Monday. Police said as she walked in the 900 block of East 51st Street, she passed a man and asked if he’d seen a dog run by. He pointed in a direction and she began walking that way.
As she walked into the alley, the man allegedly followed her and knocked her down from behind. The man attacked her, wrote on her in black marker and stabbed her multiple times with a pocketknife, police said. He also took her dog leash and choked her with it, police said.
Detectives say during the attack, the man screamed violent homophobic remarks and hate speech at the victim. He apparently tore away her clothes and wrote homophobic slurs on her body, and ran off when her dog began barking and biting him.

Religion of Hoax.
It’s not like hate crimes are ever faked.
But if that is the case, to stab one’s self, or allow someone to stab you.
This kind of thing so often turns out to be a hoax.
I will assume it’s a hoax, not worthy of attention, unless anything else comes out of it.
i don’t believe this wasn’t somehow staged. the vast majority of people who do this sh1t staged it.
It was the Boing Boing drunk mountain gorilla. They hate lesbians and they make their own beer in their stomachs.
Her attacker was a young Mexican man. Probably illegal.
Sounds like another staged "Pity Me!" event...
It was very helpful of her attacker to write homophobic slurs on her body for proof. Bet it wasn’t a permanent marker, though.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
My guess is that she got into a fight with her roommate, they made up and came up with this little plan.
it seems to me that anytime Ive read anything about anyone being victimized by someone leaving Graffiti slurs on their bodies its turned out to be a hoax

When she is found out, can what she described be done to her except write words like attention whore and lesbo liar and the like,

To say “lesbian woman” is redundant. By definition, a “lesbian” is a woman.
Are there any proofreaders or editors in the news business anymore????
here’s why it’s staged.
1. she’s still alive.
2. no serious permanent injuries.
3. timing so no witnesses.
4. was out alone, so no unknowing friends.
5. people don’t plan an attack on someone they have hatred for with a pocket knife.
i believe she had’someone write on her unless the writing is where she could write on herself, and then either help scar’her in areas she couldn’t reach, or either she was really stupid and she only cut herself in areas she could reach. which the cops will know.
i predict the story will unravel.
they dont seem to get.... that marking someone...is not likely to be done by someone in a fit or murderous rage

How did he know she was a lesbian?
Her dog ran off at 2:45am Sunday morning. Then, when the supposed attack occurred, her dog chases the alleged Hispanic perp away. And said “Hispanic perp” supposedly had a black marker on him at 2:45 in the morning? My suspicion is that the “wounds” caused by the “pocketknife” will turn out to be minor pokes.
