Re: “The Republicans have time on their side.”

Is this guy freaking serious?

We create 750,000 new citizens each year, and 80% of them vote for the Democrat Party.

About 60% of the people who die each year are Republicans.

And, more than 60% of the people who turn 18 each year are Democrats.

And what difference would it make if the GOP did win the White House?

Except for Ted Cruz, who can't win nationally, every other GOP candidate is a center-left RINO on immigration, ObamaCare, spending, and debt.

What makes you say that Ted Cruz cannot win nationally? I seem to recall the same talk in the 1977-1980 era about another conservative. BTW, Ted Cruz won over 40% of the Hispanic vote in 2012. Any Republican that can win 40% of those voters in a national race is the next president.

"Except for Ted Cruz, who can't win nationally..."

When was the last candidate who has clearly espoused/shown a record for limited government lose in a national election?

The bottleneck is in the primary. If a limited government type that is capable of speaking clearly ever emerges out of the primary then all bets are off whether or not he or she will be automatically relegated to a loss. Look at Reagan's rise as the last candidate that ran on limited government (Although his Establishment advisers eventually bogged him down).
