According to The Aspen Times, Bloomberg addressed a variety of topics, and after commenting on poverty and education, he discussed guns. The Times reported that he said, “Cities need to get guns out of [the] … hands” of persons who are “male, minority, and between the ages of 15 and 25.”

“...enforcing the laws we have now...”. That’s too hard so obviously newer tougher laws need to be passed that will also do zero good and be totally ignored by the bad guys just as they are now. Stupidity knows no bounds.
Sounds kind of racist to me. Imagine if Sarah Palin would have said that....

Most of those who use guns for crimes are possessing them illegally anyway; one more law won’t stop them. It will only make it harder for the victims to fight back.
Bloomie plans to donate money to elect racists that will disarm blacks.
That is the message we have to remind everyone of. The gun control part is lost if the message is that he wants to elect racists!
He is certainly right about the demographics/race but I wouldn’t support what he is suggesting.

Maybe young minority males should be banned from joining the Crips, Bloods, Latin Kings, and other violent street gangs.
Brilliant! That will cure both the problems of “gun violence” and gang violence with just one more law!
It’s akin to Romney’s not campaigning for the lower 47%. The racism of the elite slips out because they probably don’t ever realize they have some racist tendencies.

He almost nailed the problem. Thugs need to be disarmed and incarcerated so they can no longer prey upon their helpless fellow black citizens. Decent citizens of any race should not have their right to own weapons denied.
