Acalanes Union High School in Lafayette, California, is facing infuriated parents after freshman students were reportedly singled out–with the tacit support of teachers–and humiliated if they didn’t subscribe to politically correct views on gay and lesbian issues.

It's hard to say if Percy Dovetonsils could be done today. The closest thing I can think of is Al Franken's Stewart Smalley, but even that's been 15-20 years ago, if not more.

Still, libs could get away with gay spoofs (Seinfeld and Frasier both did it) AS LONG AS IT WAS MADE CLEAR THAT NO REAL CONDEMNATION OF HOMOSEXUALITY WAS INTENDED. So you could spoof about people's REACTION to homosexuality, but not homosexuality itself.

It’s not that these “anti-bullying” groups want to stop all bullying - they just want to be the ones doing it.

Correct. Liberals always become what they hate.

"I'm confused now. Is the PC position supposed to be "it's a choice" or "born this way"?"

It's actually both, but the "born this way" angle is usually emphasized during political battles where they're trying to pull in the middle-of-the-road vote by comparing homosexuality to being born black.

But in their seminars and writings, behind the scenes, they will also encourage EXPERIMENTATION with different sexual practices, including homosexual and bisexual ones.

Yes , we come from a different era, people have no idea how far this country has fallen. Are there some pluses, perhaps but fading fast.

"Yes , we come from a different era, people have no idea how far this country has fallen. Are there some pluses, perhaps but fading fast.""

I saw an interview of Mick Jagger back when the Rolling Stones first came on the scene, and a reporter asked him whether he thought the sexual revolution was here to stay. His answer was very prescient (this is a paraphrase): "Yes, it is here to stay, but it won't be fully established until our generation has become grandparents."

To me it has also been very obvious that the fulcrum of the massive social changes we see now was the years 1966-1968. That was when the happy music of the early-mid sixties was replaced by the darker music of the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, late Stones, and late Beatles. The “Summer of Love” was actually a summer of tawdry sex, and radical Left-wing politics jumped front-and-center into the youth culture.

“How silly. In this case, it’s called activism. Had it been reverse, that would have been bullying. Some folks don’t know they’re driving the wrong way on PC boulevard.”

Wrong way on the evolutionary and biblical river too. Your not going to sustain an intelligent self controlling civilization when you teach them to embrace any kind of self-destructive behavior, and reject any attempt at correction.

The Civilizations that behaves like this will never go anywhere but down over the long run. That is until overcome by a healthy civilization that teaches and encourages healthy behavior in its members.

Bullying is what it was meant to do, why would they ever let a sex club in school is the question.... then again in Kaliprionia they tell 12 year olds they are ready for sex

>>We did not have homos when I was kid

The human hive has always had drones; but a hive with nothing but drones is on its way to being a dead hive.

Read Romans 1:25+ “Because of this, God gave them over”

Cancer is natural too.

I graduated in the same year, 1972, just about the same class size as well. There were 2 kids, one guy and one girl, who everyone pretty much suspected, and over the years they did come out. In the case of the guy, not only did he never get threatened, he was a very popular kid. In the case of the girl, I don’t think anyone really dared pick on her. LOL! That’s another thing, really butch girls can become bullies themselves. I’ve seen it.

To the extent that is going on, that is wrong too. There’s no sense in trying to fight poison with poison.

But please don’t miss the point. A blithe “oh bring on the bullies” is antisocial.

Actually, a lucky drone or two gets to fertilize the queen of the hive.

Got something better?

Yup, I have to imagine that this violates all sorts of local policies, and probably local and state civil laws as well. Maybe even some criminal ones. And I think a whole load of Federal Civil Rights statutes are in play as well.

On the Constitutional side theres definitely a First Amendment violation. If disparate treatment in both policy and enforcement can be shown, there’s a 14th one as well.

So time to find a patron that will financially support suing the school and those involved to the extent permitted by the law. Including filing criminal charges (if applicable). Make the school and the bullies wage an expensive and time consuming legal defense, see if they’re willing to go under oath trying to justify their actions.

I’da kicked their damned asses and put it out that if ANYONE ANYWHERE wanted to resent it I’d kick THEIR damned ass. Of course back in the day I’d have been inaudible in the din of others proclaiming the same thing.
