How silly. In this case, it's called activism. Had it been reverse, that would have been bullying. Some folks don't know they're driving the wrong way on PC boulevard.

The students are just following the example of those adults who fine bakers and florists $150,000 for refusing to service gay weddings. THAT’S big-time bullying.

Just like our government.

The parents should be more than infuriated. They should sue the school district big time.

This is straight out of Mao’s “struggle sessions” textbook.

“Bay Area” and “Mao” are practically synonyms.

See, you weren’t an “activist” like these young skulls full of mush are. It’s only bullying if you aren’t in a “protected segment” of society. :>}

We did not have homos when I was kid

I think there were 4 out of 800 in my HS Class of 1972, but they kept to themselves. Smart move on their part, and I doubt anyone bothered them. Maybe a snicker or two.

I am a graduate of Acalanes, and I think this is a disgrace! It’s just amazing the “transformation” of this school over that past 50 years.

"We did not have homos when I was kid."
I can't claim that, but - looking back on my school years - I can honestly say that there was never anyone who was KNOWN to be a homosexual, nor do I remember anyone ever being bullied because people THOUGHT they were homosexual. Yes, there were gay jokes and imitations of lisping men, but the issue certainly didn't have the centrality that the media have given it in recent years.
To: rktman
It’s not that these “anti-bullying” groups want to stop all bullying - they just want to be the ones doing it.

On January 29, students reported that members of the Queer Straight Alliance (QSA) were allowed to take over all freshmen English classes at Acalanes Union High School to grill students about their personal beliefs and their parents personal beliefs on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) issues. The QSA asked students step forward to demonstrate whether they believed that being gay was a choice. Students were also required to state whether their parents would be accepting if they came out as gay. Those students who did not step forward were ridiculed and humiliated by QSA members. The new witchhunt, "ARE YOU NOW OR HAVE YOU EVER BEEN A PRACTICING CHRISTIAN???!!!"

Students who did not step forward were ridiculed
I'm confused now. Is the PC position supposed to be "it's a choice" or "born this way"?

I was way ahead of 72, I often look back and think about it. It was the same area as this one I honestly do not remember even talking about it, growing up. That was when we would still drive across the Bay and have a Family day in the Beautiful town of San Francisco. Graduated class of 61.Life is very different, very very sad.

” .Life is very different, very very sad.”
In most respects, it is.
