NBC Nightly News host Brian Williams told his tall tale of being shot down in a helicopter during the Iraq War in vivid detail on David Lettermans show in 2013.

Fake, but accurate.
Ohhh, this is bad, he is fleshing out all the intense details of his being shot down and then on the ground, and his narrow escape, this is great and intimate story telling.
This is so cringe worthy, how could he ever go out in public again.(if he were a normal person)
Telling this lie is bad enough...but continuing this on for 10 plus years is psychotic ...
There is some comedy gold there.
There needs to be an annual award for the biggest lie that should kill your career, but doesn’t.
We could call it the Bill Clinton award.
I’m not normally one to defend Brian Williams, but it is very easy to misremember events. For example, a car gently passed me on the right the other day. I remember it as almost being run over by a Soviet T-34 tank.
It makes a great story at parties.
After lying to us constantly, the people who paid to tell the truth still get to keep their jobs.
Think about that while you’re looking for employment. :)
Easy mistake on Williams’ part.
I remember when I won my second Medal of Honor at Iwo Jima after I got my first at Normandy . . .
But hey - is Williams any different than Hillary Clinton and John Kerry in their combat exploits?
What I see now is young people accepting social dishonesty, they all seem to be role playing.
What I see is something I noticed 50 years ago, when I spent 3 weeks in NYC, everyone is bullshatting everyone else..
Some kind of defense mechanism?
Brian was caught flat out being an attention whore. They should fire his ass ASAP.
Where was the rest of the NBC crew? Williams wasn’t traveling alone. Why the silence for 12 years from them as Williams spun his yarn??
Appomattox, Waterloo, Normandy, I misremembered them all.....
Isn’t he used to lying every night?
Another liar and cheater, love it when they get caught. :)
One thing that needs to be investigated (maybe get a federal research grant) is why Liberals feel that they need to lie about EVERYTHING!
Why can’t a liberal simply tell the truth?
Ah, remember Pontius Pilate'so question, "What is truth?"
To Liberals, Truth is fungible, not absolute. It is a tool, not a guide.
