RE:”Aaron and Melissa Klein refused to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple, and now they must pay for their crime. An Oregon administrative law judge ruled on Jan. 29 that the owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa did, in fact, discriminate in 2013 when they declined to provide a wedding cake for a lesbian couple because it would have violated their Christian beliefs against same-sex marriage.”

It's not reasonable to expect them to win this fight.

This is much different than the courts ordering states to marry same sex couples which is apparently what the owner is trying to protest. That is a new reach creating a new constitutional right that never existed before.

In these cases they are basically challenging the anti-discrimination law under the constitution and it has no chance of being successful.

A Sad ending is inevitable

RE Sad Ending:

Maybe not so much. Depends on what you consider losing versus winning.

Financially, they lost, sure.

But they STILL didn’t bake the cake, and no one can physically force them to. So, from their Faith standpoint, they won that battle.

Life is full of choices; choices have consequences. You either CHOOSE to “obey”, and do - or you choose not to and don’t.

The only question at the end of the day is what are you WILLING to suffer for the choices you make? And what are you willing to do to defend what you say you believe in?

You can apply that to just about anything.
