When I read the report that Sen. Ted Cruz is going to oppose President Obama’s nomination of Loretta Lynch to be Attorney General, I thought, “There’s a gutsy choice.” I mean, who doubts that Cruz will be bombarded, once again, by the usual liberal hit-men, from Jon Stewart to E.J. Dionne to Rachel Maddow?
Even now, I can hear the shriek of the incoming barrage: “Cruz is playing the race card!”
But of course, Cruz is no racist. He is, after all, Hispanic; he carries multi-ethnicity in his very being. Moreover, if he had any observable racist tendencies, he never would have been admitted to such Ivy League bastions as Princeton University and Harvard Law School. And while at Harvard, for example, if he had said even one naughty thing, he never would have been chosen to help lead the prestigious Law Review. To be sure, his mostly liberal-leftist fellow students described Cruz as “polarizing”—we on the right can translate that as “principled”—but even the relentlessly left-wing Boston Globe couldn’t find anyone to call him a racist....

It would be nice if the MSM would get off the whole race issue, and listen to Ted’s questions, and Lynch’s answers during her confirmation hearing. She avoided directly answering every question Ted asked her. Even the simple Yes/No questions. She will be just as lawless as Holder, if not worse. And I would say the same about her even if she were white. She was specifically picked by Obola because she’s black, and if we don’t like her we’re all raciss.

Do we get to keep Holder if we turn down Lynch? Or has he said he’ll leave no matter what?
I guess Obama could recess appoint her a couple times, and AG’s don’t carry over ever from one admin to another -— at least not that I can remember.
Cruz is not a racist, he is right. This woman is bad news.
Were I in his shoes, I would clearly articulate that I will not confirm anyone for AG that does not clearly state that President Obama has abused Executive Powers in an unconstitutional manner, and that they as AG will not defend President Obama’s usurpation of the Legislative Branch of government. IF someone cannot agree with that, they should never be confirmed as AG. Get her Ted!
Regarding Maddow et al I don’t think it’s appropriate to accuse people until they’ve actually done it.
I’m confident Cruz is not racist but saying no one has gone on record saying he’s racist doesn’t mean he’s not. Why even bring it up?
