But is he endangering other peoples lives?
Is he breaking the law?

I see a whole lot of people here who just seem eager to control what their neighbor does. Music? Guns? Parties? I don't know -- I don't care -- all I want to do is control my neighbor.

That's America in the 21st century.

The laws don't matter. We're not a nation of laws anymore. The important thing is that I get to be the boss of you. Because that's the NEW American dream.

But is he endangering other peoples lives?

Based on the construction methods he used for his backstop, I'm leaning towards "yes, he would be endangering others if he utilizes his 'gun range'"

Of course, I have not seen the property in person, but the lots are pretty small so it's a virtual certainty that someone's yard or house is less than 100' behind his poorly constructed backstop.

As soon as the sand he used allows a round to pass his lot line he is breaking the law. Also, it would be reasonable to realize doing this created a dangerous condition. A reasonable person would assume that on a lot 75’ wide a stray round could be expected. Therefor any injuries/deaths are ratcheted up.

Not to mention noise ordinances.

People like this are why we have all the unreasonable laws.
