this post proves my point in a another post about refusing to actually define “amnesty”, and using it’s mystery as a blunt weapon against whatever candidate you don’t like for whatever reason you don’t feel like stating openly.
not you, personally, of course. the generic “you”
Big Time.
“Some people claim if you are not in favor of 100% deportation of illegals then you support amnesty.”
Probably because deportation is what American law requires for foreign nationals who are in the United States illegally.
So the refusal to enforce that law is defacto amnesty.
Shark has been jumped.
Hey, Scott, why did suddenly becoming the ‘frontrunner’ prompt you to clarify yourself?
When newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the White House, America's southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.
President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents less than one-tenth of today's force.
America "was faced with a breakdown in law enforcement on a very large scale," Mr. Brownell (Attorney General) said. "When I say large scale, I mean hundreds of thousands were coming in from Mexico [every year] without restraint."
In 1954, Ike appointed retired Gen. Joseph "Jumpin' Joe" Swing, a former West Point classmate and veteran of the 101st Airborne, as the new INS commissioner.
General Swing's fast-moving campaign soon secured America's borders an accomplishment no other president has since equaled. Illegal migration had dropped 95 percent by the late 1950s.
Well, I have defined what I believe needs to be done in terms of beginning a policy of deportation one by one of illegal aliens.
I will also add the I want anchor baby policies done away with.
All that being said, my guy is Ted Cruz. I’m pretty sure that Ted and I are not on the same page on this, yet I’ll vote for him.
If Walker ends up the nominee, at this time I have no reason to not vote for him. So in the general, certainly, he would get my vote unless something comes up with him that I am not currently aware of.
But even then it would have to be a pretty big something. He seems like a good candidate.
But I will not vote for Jeb Bush at all, ever, for any reason.
I will vote against him in the general.
They’re (mostly) all so afraid to run on proven, principled conservative values.
What’s even more stunning is that Pubs can’t seem to figure out that the MAJORITY of the country - including many Dims - don’t want amnesty of ANY kind.
It’s a low hanging fruit issue and they strike out, every time.
“I dont think ted cruz is even advocating the police state that would be required to search out each and every illegal and instantly transport them out of the country.”
Evidently Dwight Eisenhower must have run a ‘police state’ when he was President.
Google “Operation Wetback” and let us know if Ike’s deportation program offends your tender feelings for those foreign nationals who decide that they don’t need no stinkin’ visas.
So how about one illegal aliens?
Then two?
How about that?
Why do you start at 10 million instead of one?
You do realize that one comes before 10 million, do you not?
Looks like they’re singin’ the old RINO blues.
Big Time.
you would vote for Hillary Clinton if its Clinton vs. Bush in 2016? srsly?
At first when I read your post, i was like GRGRGRGRGRGRRRRR, then I was like LOL :D
Good stuff!
“There is no one, no one, who is going to deport the tens of millions of illegal aliens.”
So in other words Dave you’re telling us that there are no more Dwight Eisenhowers leading the Republican Party and never again will be.
Well, if you’re typical of the Republican voter then that’s no surprise, is it?
Yep.
Lesser of two evils.
Hillary Clinton did not let a helpless woman be murdered by dehydration.
Further, watching Hillary, a useless buffoon of a woman try and be president would be at least entertaining.
Watching Jeb Bush be president would piss me off to no end, all day, every day, even when I’m sleeping.
So, I will do whatever it takes in my civil power to keep that bastard from being president.
That’s not really good enough for me to be honest.
This is a serious problem.
However, as I said, I could support Walker in the general even considering our differences on this.
don’t read sh!t into my posts that I didn’t say. it’s intellectually lazy.
and if you don’t understand the difference between 1954 and 2015, or the difference between border enforcement and seeking out 12 million unknown individuals who’s whereabouts are unknown, then I’m afraid I won’t be able to dumb it down any further for you.
I ascribe to the Ted Cruz definition of amnesty, not to the Loretta Lynch and Scott Walker definition.
Beware of campaign rhetoric! Always check the record.
