It’s the smart move, fortune favors the bold. Yup. I'm a Pats fan, but you have to give Carroll credit. I figured it would be a corner fade. Nice play. Costly face mask penalty.
At the beginning of this drive I was thinking, don't let them get behind you. Give them the field goal...

1000%....how the hell do you give a cushion that large?? if I’m the defensive coordinator I’d tell them, “interfere”....so you get flagged- its then first and goal from the 1 with 2 seconds left and Seattle has to kick the FG....awful defensive play calling!!!

Chris Mathews didn’t catch a pass all year until today.

He was given SOOOO much space... I don’t understand... He was the fourth receiver on the play. The cornerback was expecting a corner fade, because Russell only had enough time to take the hike and throw it into the end zone.
Instead, he threw a bit of a back-shoulder line drive. Russell has a lot of poise.
