What you can do at the House on your own vehicle in one thing.
To manufacture a large number of vehicles with the reliability you see these days is the difference
Only if you consider Rob Gronkowski a small man with a small reputation.
Belicheck is a pure football genius who knows his players very well.
These “cheating” crap is just that..”crap”.
GO PATS!!!
The little sh$t that owns the Pats also recently (two/thee years ago) bought Liverpool of the EPL . A very storied franchise - Think N.Y. Yankees
Nobody said it was a race car. For that you need to see the Audi R10 TDI.
However the Jetta TDI a low-tech old-school concept that lasts a long time and gets you decent mileage.
I’m a fan of the Japs. - Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic in this space.
Most reliable I have seen. VW does not have the same reputation
speaking of that little s$it who owns Pats, he gave Putin his Super Bowl ring and when whines when Pootie kept it. TFB
Well, different guys, same "urban myth".
Did someone really force someone else to destroy a carburetor that got 45 mpg. at a land fill and have a dozer run over it?
Probably not....C'mon...a carburetor? They're like buggy whips, or innertubes.
Why is it that whenever the car mfg. are forced to get better mileage they always do?
Because the foreign manufacturers showed Detroit how it was done, and the government forced them to do it.
I don't know the dynamics like many here probably do I just question what is true what is not.
Well, you can go on youtube and see all kinds of perpetual motion machines...operating. One is a generator, belt-driven by an electric motor, which powers itself...and a drill press etc. (overunity.com)
Run your car on free hydrogen! (takes more energy to make it, than you can get out of it) Both urban myths or nutcase hoaxes.
Like I said, you can build your own fuel injection system, and program it with a laptop (Megasquirt) and turn the fuel up till it belches black smoke, or turn it down till it quits. It will not get you 100 MPG.
Once you get below the 14.x to 1 AFR (air to fuel ratio) you lose power, increase pinging and start burning holes in the pistons. That's because all the conditions are there for combustion, heat, oxygen...everything but the fuel. So it burns the aluminum. The O2 sensors in your engine attempt to keep the AFR (14:1) just above that point.
As an old sage once said trust but verify.
Well, you have your interwebbs. I didn't copy/paste all this stuff, but there are individuals experimenting with this stuff all the time and putting it online for you to see.
Two of my favorites..."Wood Gasification" a home generator running on wood....and the "GEET" engine, which will clean-burn on used motor oil, antifreeze, paint-thinner, almost any combustible liquid, and water.
Those things work, I've seen the latter hands-on and gotten to play with it.
Where do you think the Japs learned how to build them? In 1968 there was the EFI VW Squareback, 1979 there was the sideways engined Rabbit, Datsun and Toyota were carburetted RWD cars.
Even the Subaru boxer engine and transaxle are knockoffs of VW Beetle technology developed in the 1930s, but instead water cooled, and mounted in the front of the car.
These cars were created to fill a niche created by artificially high priced gas. Now we are seeing the real levels of gas should be around 1.50/gal without gummit interference.
Well I caught a little but this morning. The bit on MTP about differences between liberals and conservatives as to what they eat or drink was interesting. If you missed it Liberals drink more than conservatives. Liberals prefer potato chips while conservatives favor pretzels and moderates like trail mix. Liberals drink craft beer and conservatives prefer domestic beer. I saw the Scott Walker interview and of course only Lowery of NR knew that Ronald Reagan was the president who did a via satellite coin toss.
Look carefully. I think she sat on SOMEONE.
So when Bush was said to have choked half to death on a pretzel... Does that mean he really was a conservative?
Even with No Child Left Behind, calling Islam the Religion of Peace and wanting amnesty?
Went up to visit today. Again, she looked great but goodness the dramatics. She wants so bad to stay another night....she tells me that if they can’t control her pain they might keep her another night.
She hopes! Though if there’s a way, she’ll find a way. And ALWAYS, always...something that cannot be proven. She knows all the tricks. One cannot judge someone else’s pain; we only have their word.
Whatever. Frankly she looked very nice....a beautiful girl. She walked around just fine but she looks forward to those pain meds, indeed.
I’m watching this late in the day on DVR. I couldn’t believe this Bill Bennett and HIS batch of lies.
“People don’t like Common Core because of all the lies about it. That you have to teach Islamic faith, that kids must read pornography...”
I mean like come on....anybody that claims that would be seen as a kook.
We don’t want the federal gubmint teaching our kids, pure and simple. Why don’t they get this?
It’s not like federal gubmint is bang up considering the Veterans Administraton and Obamacare.
Yes, but now I think we are on the edge of "having your cake and eating it too" automotive technology.
Bigger cars and trucks that Americans like, but that also get acceptable mileage. I believe they will be gasoline or diesel powered, electric drive batteryless vehicles.
The vehicle will still have a regular car battery for starting purposes, but the propulsion battery packs will be replaced by banks of capacitors. The engine will be a small displacement turbo which can take the vehicle down the highway at 75 and load up the quick-charging caps.
The vehicles can be AWD, have true regenerative braking and the electric motors will replace automatic transmissions.
They can be simpler, and they should last a long time. (oh oh, well we can't have that)
Arizona was one of the most corrupt acquisitions of any state. They didn’t have the required population, but Lincoln needed the additional 2 Senators for the Emancipation Proclamation so they made the state and took the land. Pure corruption.
“but Lincoln needed the additional 2 Senators for the Emancipation Proclamation “
The world never changes - people in power will do pretty much anything to see their side win.
Wait a minute, the world has changed, now Republicans will do pretty much anything to make their side lose.
Cock-a-doodle-doo Larri!
