So what. These are BARS and they are in NEW ORLEANS. People go to Bourbon street to drink and smoke cigars and listen to Jazz.
The fact that you support these nanny state laws tells me you are a far cry from a Liberty loving Freeper.
You comment to a person who pimps anti Freedom and Liberty. Should they not like the rules I put in place on my property they have the choice not to come through the door. The poster most likely agreed with forcing the baker to make a wedding cake for the homosexuals. Freedom is not forcing someone to cater to your personal wishes, it’s the choice not to do business with that establishment.
The Feds receive 7 to 8 billion a year in taxes from tobacco, states receive 16 to 18 billion. Many municipalities impose cigarette taxes at the local level. The revenue goes into the localities general funds for various local projects, such as road maintenance and school renovations.
Time for the anti’s to start paying their share of these expenses instead of pissing and moaning about those that are. Before they say why should I, “I don’t smoke” let me remind them that I haven’t had a child in school in public school for the last 28 years but I still get hit with a school tax. Until they are willing to stand up their voice means nothing more than a small child’s bitching because momma won’t let them have a cookie.
Something tells me this ban will be reversed rather quickly and Landrieu will end up in jail or the river before years end
Almost EVERYBODY smokes here.
I don’t drink or smoke. I go to Bourbon St to watch the drunks and listen to jazz, the smoking ban will make it even more enjoyable.
