Ive been emailed this text of remarks Mitt Romney will be making to his supporters shortly:
Let me begin by letting you know who else is on this call, besides Ann and me. There are a large number of people who signed on to be leaders of our 2016 finance effort. In addition, state political leadership from several of the early primary states are on the line. And here in New York City, and on the phone, are people who have been helping me think through how to build a new team, as well as supporters from the past who have all been kind enough to volunteer their time during this deliberation stage. Welcome, and thank you. Your loyalty and friendship, and your desire to see the country with new, competent and conservative leadership warms my heart.
After putting considerable thought into making another run for president, Ive decided it is best to give other leaders in the Party the opportunity to become our next nominee.

More like a case of party bosses telling Mitt to get out of the way and make way for another Bush princeling.
The Huckster won’t hurt Jeb. He’ll hurt Cruz. Talking to a friend the other day. He’s a strong social conservative, incensed when I told him about the GOP killing the abortion bill. Financially well off, and a bit of a fiscal hawk. Strong gospel evangelical Christian. He began touting Huckabee. He believes in Jesus.
I didn’t argue with him. Just told him to check out Cruz.
Huckabee has the southern gospel conservative vote and those should be Cruz voters. They won’t be excited about Jeb.
Too bad we need a strong RINO candidate in the field to siphon votes away from Jebbie, so they cant do for him what they did for Mitt win the primaries with just over a third of the votes.
From the locked thread....
Romney also lost one of his most trusted political advisers on Thursday when David Kochel joined Bushs team.
Good! I hope all of Romney’s *brilliant* advisors join RINO Bush’s team.
One down, about 20 to go?
Why do we always have so many candidates who end up destroying each other during the primary process, while the Dems stick with one or two and run effective campaigns??
There is an all out war between conservative Republicans, and elitist Republicans. It helps explain all of the trait....er candidates.
Where did that rumor come from?
Well that's impossible because everyone says...yes let's back my guy.
Personally I love Ted Cruz, but I think Walker is more viable and has a proven track record in getting the job done over the objections of liberals. He has stuck to his guns and pushed his agenda and won!
Bishop Willard has been recalled to Planet Kolob.
All hail the Dauphin Bush!
I like both Cruz and Walker (Cruz a bit more) but I would be willing to get behind either of them if they get out to an early lead and are best positioned to defeat Jeb.
I’m not saying only one Conservative should run, but at a reasonably early point, I’d like to see the voters and hopefully many of the Conservative candidates, get behind whichever Conservative has the best shot at beating Bush for the sake of their party and their country.
Huckabee has the southern gospel conservative vote

And we wonder why Liberals, and the media, think all white, southern Christians are ignorant, Bible thumpers with the IQ of a can of Spam.
Hugh Hewitt is probably still sobbing uncontrollably.
So the GOPe and the media force Bush onto the primary voters, while conservatives will be split between Cruz, Walker, Paul, Rubio, Huckster, Santorum, and Perry. Only two of those choices are viable, but the other three will amazingly get support well into the process. Ugh. Bush. Again. God, let’s hope not.
That’s a shame. I wanted Romney to split the anti-gun, pro-Amnesty, big government vote with Christie, Bush, and Rubio.
Good. Now, tell Jeb Bush he’s not welcome to run either.
Meanwhile, they’re probably trying to wake Hillary from her alcoholic stupor to tell her the good news.
LOL
