LAKE MARY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) - State Attorney Phil Archer announced Friday that his office will not file formal charges against George Zimmerman in connection with his arrest Jan. 9th for suspicion of aggravated assault in Lake Mary.
The office says it completed a review of the initial Lake Mary Police Department arrest report as well as additional written and oral statements submitted by the alleged victim after the arrest as part of the ongoing investigation.
"While it is clear that the officers had probable cause to arrest Mr. Zimmerman which was affirmed by the circuit court judge at initial appearances, the subsequent recantation by the victim of her initial statement along with new documents provided by the victim and her attorney precludes my office from proceeding further," Archer said.
The State Attorney's Office noted that the interview and documents provided by the victim were the result of a subpoena served on her requiring her appearance due to the fact that the victim refused to attend the first scheduled meeting with the office.

‘As soon as things start to get weird he needs to STFU & walk away.If these bimbos are in his home and he tells them to leave and they loose it he needs to be the 1st to call 911 not allow the psyco 1st chance.’
There doesn’t appear to be much overlap between what Zimmerman ought to do & what he actually does, at least as pertains to girlfriends.
Its to bad but one of these wacko bimbos is going to push him over the edge and it won’t be an edge he can climb back up from.
He needs to move as stated.Change his name.
Does he work what does he do for $$ how much does he owe Omara......Pretty sad story when in reality all he did was protect himself from a thug.
Yes, but according to our government which is waging a war against men, the victim is the one who makes false allegations against a man.
Excellent point....I wanted to post that comment at the article but not a Facebook type and need to be plus the reporter is so typical of our biased times
Yes, George is the victim here as he has been since the whole Trayvon story began. The cops initiated this arrest, not the ex-girlfriend. Someone has taken it upon him/herself to keep the Z man under constant police surveillance, waiting for an opportunity to zing him, legitimately or not. That is the most frightening aspect of this whole story. The Eric Holder/Angela Coreys of the world are the scary ones.
“ANd when he changes his name, go with Juan Rodriguez or Jorge Gonzales ...”
Those are much more fitting names for a “white Hispanic”.
Let’s hope George has already had his means of self defense returned.
Lake Mary is everything real Florida is. Rural and exurban, screen door taverns and gator on the menu.
If he ever needs it he will have to be pretty darn sure he is in the right or they will put him away.
He needs to get out of that area/state..Texas aint to far away
Mr. Zimmerman, if you happen to be reading this:
1) Dump her.
2) Move to Arizona.
3) Change your name.
4) Figure out what you want to do as a reasonable career option (NB: criminal justice is *not* a reasonable option in your case). Engage in work in that option for the rest of your life.
5) Dont volunteer for anything.
I agree, and sue all those who called you a racist and doctored the 911 call. Make lots of money and then go
like above and seek a low profile. I might add live in a safe neighborhood where you don’t need a gun.
Regarding the idea that GZ should change his name: Bob Zimmerman changed his name to Bob Dylan and moved to New York. So maybe GZ should change his name to George Dylan. Am I right? Of course I’m right.
“live in a safe neighborhood where you dont need a gun”
There is no such neighborhood where you don’t need a gun. Zimmerman bought his gun (little 9mm keltech) on the advice of a police friend for protection against an aggressive pitbull that kept harassing him and his wife when they were walking in the neighborhood.
Zimmerman did sue over the doctored 911 call, and the judge threw it out amazingly. This man will never get justice in America.
‘Zimmerman did sue over the doctored 911 call, and the judge threw it out amazingly. This man will never get justice in America.’
Is there any possibility of an appeal?
I couldn’t care less if Zimmerman is a loser, bad husband, and may very well have anger issues, etc.
All I know is that he did not murder Trayvon Martin and jury rendered the correct decision in that case.
The ordeal he endured leading up to and during the trial was horrifying. I can’t imagine watching TV hearing an audio of myself screaming for help while getting my head bashed and people would be saying that it was Trayvon screaming for help. Sickening.
I believe you are correct.
Because there is no “there” there.
I sort of agree. I don’t think GZ has actually done anything “wrong”, but he needs to be super careful about the people (especially female people) that he associates with.
I wouldn’t say he is “dumber than a stump” though. Or at least not any dumber than the average man who gets involved with women that display even the slightest bit of emotional instability or other character flaws.
Actually the women he has been involved with might actually be less crazy/evil than average, as they both recanted their false claims, rather than go forward with them as so many do.
>>>If the details in the story are correct then it was an extremely weak case against Zimmerman.<<<
Actually, there was NO CASE against Zimmerman. The “victim” clearly stated that the alleged incident never happened and there were no other witnesses or any evidence against him.
>>>Zimmerman just cant seem to keep his name out of the news.<<<
If the bimbo who got pulled over told that story about any other man, the cops would have ticketed her and sent her on her way.
Even on the unlikely event that an arrest was made, there would be zero press coverage, with the possible exception of a sentence or two in the local paper’s police blotter.
“Keeping his name out of the news” and not getting arrested are about 1,000 times more difficult for GZ than it is for an ordinary American.
