Attorney general nominee Loretta Lynch won the backing of a senior Republican senator during the second day of her Senate hearings Thursday, a big step on her path to be confirmed as the first black woman to lead the Justice Department.

"I'm going to be a strong supporter of her nomination," Hatch told the witnesses. "And I believe she's not only qualified, but exceptionally well qualified, and a very good person, to boot."
Two other committee Republicans, Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Jeff Flake of Arizona, have indicated they'll support her nomination, which would give her the three GOP votes she needs to be approved by the committee and be sent to the full Senate for a final vote. The panel's Democrats back President Barack Obama's nominee.

And we know that they are just totally outraged.......at Cruz, Lee, and the rest, for trying to stop the lawlessness.
Ughhhhhh God help us.
Hatch and everyone else who votes for this racist Communist demon is worthless, and every bit as much an enemy of the republic as Barack Obama.
I watched the hearings yesterday and the day before....Ms. Lynch may have, as repeated by the left and recognized by the right...an impeccable record...FINE...However, the woman does not accept laws from our Constitution nor ever mentions that document....she is another Social Justice devotee who looks at American Jurisprudence as theory, not as law. Apparently sees no harm in those silly borders among other very liberal views.....NO to this Lawless double for Eric Holder.
based on her bio I can understand some Republicans bending.
based on her testimony she should not receive a single Republican vote
Of course the other faction of the Uniparty falls into line.
Make Hatch a senator from California today, and he’ll announce his unity with the baby butchers tomorrow. Hatch, like most RINO’s, is a fraud who cares only about what the Washington establishment internationalist think of him. I don’t even call such a man a fellow American. Hatch is a citizen of the world.
RINO? This IS the Republican Party. Reagan was the one who was the RINO.
Just another reason the GOP is dead to me. I’d rather fight the enemy I know than be stabbed in the back by a Benedict Arnold.
Sadly both my wife and I will be changing our registered status from Independent to Republican in order to be able to vote in state primaries. We feel this is the only way we can hope to influence opposition to progressives. Financial support will still be directed to individuals, not the party.
Even though Hatch is a Mormon, he shares in what a friend of mine calls “the Episcopalian dream.” I.e., Can’t We All Get Along?
I don’t know how many times I heard the Bushes say: “There are good people on both sides of this issue.”
Think of that. The Bushes’ position is: Abortion is the killing of a baby. Abortion is the killing of 57 million babies in America alone. People who are passionately in favor of killing even MORE babies are GOOD PEOPLE.
Of course, the reality is that when people claim to take some position (Abortion is murder.), but refuse to draw obvious logical conclusions from that position (People who promote murder are evil.), they don’t really hold that position.
Why?
Some people who support legal abortion are good people. They are brainwashed people, just as are the vast majority of Obama drones.
It’s likely that I will vote for Cruz in Pa., whether or not he runs. I’m not enthused about anyone else. Sarah’s not running, BTW, but I think she lost her chance when she declined to run in 2012.
The RINO establishment machine supports those they know can be counted on to vote as they’re told , or whoever can be blackmailed down the line. I’d say there are few exceptions.
No. There are no “good people” who support abortion. There are some subjectively well-intentioned people, but no one who is that deluded is “good.”
Pro-abortion people can become good people, but only if they become pro-life.
Amen, brother.
Uniparty Republicans would confirm Qunell X to not look racist.
Sorry Arthur. Alot of people aren’t as reflective or knowledgeable about abortion as you and I are. Best, Bob
Why we were assured by the FR Republican boot-lickers the GOP would hold obama to the Constitution. Why just wait until he sends up his nominations to the senate, then will see the Republicans put a stop to his treachery! I heard that from the GOP drones until I was sick of it and had to imagine what world they wake up in each day believing the utter fantasy they were spouting.
I am waiting now for the next slew of obama judicial nominations, which will result in some kabuki theater puffery and then surrender as me and many more on FR predicted. And still the drones will be back here in 2016 telling us we have to vote for their Masters choice or the world will end.
Back in November was when I voted the Libertarian Party candidate for US Senate.
The Democrat was a marxist, abortionist, gun-control freak.
The Constitution Party guy was a nut.
The Republican was Shelley Moore Capito ...
What a piss-poor set of choices.
The only way to do that is by amending the constitution and state and federal politicians get to vote on constitutional amendments. So they are not about to limit themselves.
