On the spill aspect, there are thousands of miles of pipelines all over the country already with excellent safety record. I think we hear more about train mishaps, which is the alternate method of oil transport.
I already posted the spill that happened in 2010 in Michigan.... and the billions to clean it up and it’s still not done....that’s three years ago already.
The alternative for Canada is to put the pipeline on their own border...but of course the Canadian people already ‘voted against that... which is why the offer for it to go thru our country....
They can still take it by train across their own country...thus we don’t deal with their stuff.
