You are correct about number of permanent jobs. But immediate benefit is a kick in the azz for this weak main street economy in construction jobs. Long term, we get benefit of more and cheaper energy source which is always good for industrial competitive position over other countries, especially Europe, China, India, SE Asia who all must buy energy fuels from outside.
We don’t need Canadaa to kick us in the butt to put construction workers to work here.....we could do that just by getting ‘our infrastructure’ where it needs to be...that’s a win win for us all...
Our bridges and our utilites, roads etc. are an embarrassment when you look at other developed countries...and this congress has known it for a long wile.
We get nothing from Canada’s oil being piped thru here...it’s ALL going abroad.........let’s ship our own oil abroad rather than theirs.
You still aren’t convincing me this Keystone Pipeline is good for us when we have so much other work and projects needing done right here in our country.
