I finally saw Mac and Cheese served from a box at Thanksgiving. It looked like worms. Horrifying. But kids love hot dogs. Everything in moderation or you’ll grow up like me - gorging on all the junk food. Throughout my 20s I ate bad food to compensate for living with a health nut as a kid.
My oldest two were offered hot dogs last summer. They each took a bite and grimaced. Luckily I had brought fresh guacamole and organic blue corn chips to the party. They happily munched on that instead of the “kid food” that was served. When we eat out they order grilled salmon with baked sweet potatoes, cinnamon only. They beg for cashews and bananas at snack time. They are six, three, and 17 months.
