In Oct. 2008 she was acting as a loyal member of Team McCain, and had to be extremely careful not to say things that would undercut the position of her would-be boss.

Sarah Palin is an amusing red meat flame thrower. She is, however, not Presidential material. She hasn’t been in public office in nearly six years and served as Governor for just over half her term. The Republicans need someone more experienced than Palin, to say nothing of someone who might appeal to people beyond the base. That’s not to say the GOP should select a mealy mouthed moderate. There are other conservatives out there with more experience and who do not have a reputation for launching verbal grenades at people.

Yet another GOPe type joins in the anti-Palin jihad. Surprise, surprise, surprise.

IMHO they would better serve America if they would expend their energy on attacking the Obama regime and the ‘RATS; but I guess that is too much to ask. After all, these folks have received their talking points and directions they must follow.

There is a “path to citizenship”. Go back to your home Country, apply to come legally, get Naturalized, “Welcome to America, now BE an American.”

Our immigration system is kinda retarded and does need an overhaul. Using the issue as a cudgel for even suggesting it says more about you than is does the candidate.

Let’s see what Sarah has in mind for said overhaul before we toss her into the Amnesty oubliette.

Sarah can’t be all things to all people.

But as long as her every utterance causes democrat heads to explode she is doing a job that Good-Old-Boy republicans won’t do.

I'm not a Palin fan (much to the chagrin of others who choose to call me names & send me private messages because I dare have a different opinion then they do).

But this author is engaging in some massive trolling. This is what Palin said in the very interview he links to but conveniently leaves out of his reporting --

Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?

PALIN: No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They’ve got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

One would think based upon the Palin articles being published that the GOP primary is in
full swing. Granted many are prepping for the event and sometime later this year things will
become more heated.

I see Palin doing what Palin has done in the past. Keeping her name in front of the public and
making limited public appearance. There isn’t any indication she is forming a committee
to enter the primary but that could still happen. Her PAC has less than a million dollars
according to the last FEC filing. But she could raise enough dollars quickly for the early campaign if she announces.

or could you be persuaded to accept a “path to citizenship” for illegals?

I don't know of any laws against applying for citizenship.

From the Article

Question: can you cite for me one novel or unusually insightful thing Palin has ever said?

OK, how 'bout:

See Palin quotes

More of the GOP-E’s flying monkeys, throwing their excrement at Palin. The corrupt cronyism and sleaze of the GOP beltway elites must be protected at all costs. Palin is one of the few who has a vibrant track-record of going after such corruption. The GOP continues its efforts to purge any and all traces of tea-party or clean-government reformers, in its efforts to pave the way for another Chamber-of-Commerce toady nominee.

These Palin pieces are annoying.

I think most people really miss the point of why it is important to elect or keep Sarah Palin in power.

She humiliates the wicked intellectual culture that harms us all every day.

the community of liars that fill the news everyday need to LOSE and lose badly.

Nothing would offend THEIR sensibilities more than if Palin were in charge and/or important.

Conservatives who pretend she is damaged goods— miss the point.

Until this collective insult machine is damaged severely all conservative candidates will be annihilated.

This was done to Quayle in 1992. It is done again and again. It was attempted with Bush in 2000 and it almost worked.

We must defend people like Palin and demoralize these dangerous agitators. Governor Martinez has been intimidated. Bachmann ODonnell and Angle are all casualties in the true war in women.

The smearers hate hate hate conservative women and african americans. They will destroy them unless we refuse to give up on them.

In all honesty, Does anyone really think that Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi are either more intelligent or accomplished than Palin?

I really don’t think they are. But the racket that supports those two— it works every day to mock anyone who disagrees with those two empty headed democrats. We have to be equally fervent as a group.

Gee, Selwyn. Are there any perfect candidates? No? Then let's destroy the ones we have!

It's easy to attack people from a blog. If no one meets your standard of perfection, then you had better run yourself. No? Then you are a coward.

My view is that Palin should launch on a third party.

Here’s why;

With Hilary running as the first female candidate, she is going to get a huge portion of the women’s vote. That will be her biggest asset. She really has no other...

Keep in mind, most voters are not republicans or democrats. They are independents.

If Palin siphoned off the “because she’s a woman” vote, Clinton could not win. Nobody is going to vote for Clinton based on her record.

Palin might well win if she got a the biggest share of the conservative vote, or it would go to the republican. Palin would then need to run against both parties.
