American Sniper is tops at the box office but dont expect to see former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura lining up at a theater for it.
Ventura, a former Navy SEAL, won $1.8 million in a defamation lawsuit last year against the estate of the late Chris Kyle, the SEAL protagonist of the movie, which has sparked debate over whether snipers should be considered heroes. Ventura said Wednesday he wont see the film partly because Kyle is no hero to him.
"A hero must be honorable, must have honor. And you cant have honor if youre a liar. There is no honor in lying," Ventura told The Associated Press from his winter home in Baja California, Mexico. He also noted that the movie isnt playing there.

Typical of a loon “you’re a liberal” if you disagree with me.
Stuff it, I’m no liberal. To me that’s a grave insult.
fine, make yourself miserable......and continue to cherry pick. The three legged stool, in reality, did NOT have equal weight except in the theoretical sense. As a campaign issue, the leg about freedom and liberty was number one, the leg concerning the Soviet Union and national defense was number 2, and the social conservatism leg was clearly 3.
But more to the point, it doesn’t address the topic at all. First of all, the proper libertarian response to abortion is to protect the “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness” of the unborn child. Yeah, I know many libtards don’t get that, but it is true.
Yeah, the guy makes my skin crawl.
also i seem to recall in Marcus Luttrells (Lone Survivor) book he presented to their class on completion. i could be wrong but i think he was introduced then as a seal...
keep in mind thats from memory..
Jesse who?
Jesse who?
“For crying out loud , he was a wrestler and nothing but a clown for the WWE.”
___________-
Well, and that and the governor of Minnesota.
He gave a five-hour videotaped deposition that apparently wasn't terribly convincing to the jury.
according to witnesses, he and Kyle did get into it. They didn’t see a punch per se but they did see Ventura on the ground from “something. Some of the guys appear to have pretty serious credentials:

Ventura riding that bandwagon with pal, Michael Moore.
“We speak a-rab.”
Not sure why you sent that to me, however, I assume it has something to do with the law suit. Someone mentioned an appeal, but I have not heard anything about an appeal being filed.
nce according to the scriptures and tradition, including Cephas/Peter. I see two lessons. One who wields the sword, so to speak, mustoperate under lawful orders
expect the same violence he renders.
I don’t want to get into any deep discussion on what the scripture tells us because I am no means a Bible scholar I was giving my observation of the scriptures and that would include that Jesus sold Peter to put away his sword because it was not the time to defend Jesus. What was happening was according to the plan of salvation and nothing was to interfere with the fulfillment. This iswhat I believe.
Underwater men have been important to the military for a long time. ""In 1942, the Army and Navy jointly established the Amphibious Scout and Raider School at Fort Pierce, Florida. Here Lieutenant Commander Phil H. Bucklew, the Father of Naval Special Warfare, helped organize and train what became the Navys first group to specialize in amphibious raids and tactics.""
There were only UDT in WWII, but no SEALs, who were created in 1962 and we had SEALs and UDT simultaneously for 20 years, until 1982 when UDT was ended and most UDT went into the SEALs (after getting additional training to make the SEALs.
While the SEALs trace their lineage to UDT, I think it would be misleading and confusing to now start calling the WWII and pre-1960s UDT, "SEALs" although now UDT and SEALs have been melded into one, it would be similar to calling WWII OSS Army Special Forces, or "Green Berets".
""Pressure to further implement human intelligence gathering prior to landings heightened after Marine Corps landing craft were damaged by coral reefs during the Battle of Tarawa in November 1943. Aerial reconnaissance incorrectly showed the reefs were submerged deep enough to allow the landing craft to float over. Marines were forced to abandon their craft in chest deep water a thousand yards from shore, helping Japanese gunners inflict heavy U.S. casualties. After that experience, Admiral Kelley Turner, Commander of the 5th Amphibious Force, directed that 30 officers and 150 enlisted men be moved to Waimanalo ATB (on the big island of Hawaii) to form the nucleus of a reconnaissance and demolition training program. It is here that the UDTs of the Pacific were born.""
Someone needs to tell Ventura that being a sissy who sues a hero’s widow to take money from the widow and her children is not the way to impress others. Jesse Ventura disgusts me.
You’re right. He was UDT, not SEAL. Don’t know why the press never called him out on that.
Correction of mistype.--after getting additional training to make "THEM" SEALS, not "the".
Then how do you explain all the eye witnesses accounts?
