American Sniper is tops at the box office but dont expect to see former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura lining up at a theater for it.
Ventura, a former Navy SEAL, won $1.8 million in a defamation lawsuit last year against the estate of the late Chris Kyle, the SEAL protagonist of the movie, which has sparked debate over whether snipers should be considered heroes. Ventura said Wednesday he wont see the film partly because Kyle is no hero to him.
"A hero must be honorable, must have honor. And you cant have honor if youre a liar. There is no honor in lying," Ventura told The Associated Press from his winter home in Baja California, Mexico. He also noted that the movie isnt playing there.

Claiming it’s the ‘first real gun I ever carried,’ director Michael Moore shaved his beard and dropped a few pounds before starring in the first war movie set in disavantaged neighborhoods in some of the larger blue-state cities in Michigan.

Michael Moores Hollywood production of American Snacker has finished production and is headed for the big screen in a theater near you sometime in May, said studio executive Morris Freeman. Freeman admits its the lefts answer to the popular but controversial Clint Eastwood movie American Sniper that many feel is a true contender for an Oscar award, but has been the source of rabid criticism from liberals and their supporters.
Freeman noted the record amount of money the Eastwood film has generated and felt a war-themed liberal version would do nicely and generate a tidy sum for investors and his own studio. The last liberal war movie was made back in 1985 starred Richard Simmons and Rosie ODonnell which never made a profit and the genre soon lost support in the liberal bastion of Hollywood film makers.
Filmed in various fast food restaurants in cities like Detroit, Deerborn, and at several slum neighborhoods where extras were hired for minimum wages and a chance to fornicate with several of the white set directors, Michael Moore not only directed the movie, but placed himself in the starring role of Lt.Big Buddy Bundy, a radical muslim US Army officer with strong leftist leanings who proclaims his own war on corporations that produce snacks, pastries, and fast-food establishments.
Strong support on the healthy-food issues was given by first lady Michelle Obama who had a cameo role as Jawanda Jones, a hooker with a big heart, who later redeemed herself and became a lunchroom lady who promoted healthy eating at an inner city school cafeteria by passing out tofu and oranges.
The portly director says the movie will open the eyes of patriots across the country with the liberal version of a true hero, of and for, the people.
I don’t believe Jesse would fight a real man. Perhaps Chris Kyle’s widow, or his children if they’re still very little, but he’s turned into a sissy.
